Missing High School Football Coach Found Dead After Police Find Jeep

A beloved New Jersey high school football coach has been found dead after falling out with his family since Christmas.
Stephen Iannotti72, was pronounced dead on Wednesday, December 31, after police found his Jeep in a remote area of Cumberland County, New Jersey.
“It is with a heavy heart that we must advise that Mr. Iannotti has been found, and unfortunately, deceased,” the Logan Township Police Department announced Wednesday. “Out of respect for the coach’s privacy and the privacy of his family, this will be the only update on this terrible case and we will not be commenting further. Thank you for your understanding.”
Authorities did not say whether Iannoti’s body was found inside the Jeep. NBC10 Philadelphia released video of the Jeep helicopter being picked up by a flatbed truck on Wednesday.
The cause of his death has not been announced.
Iannoti’s family last contacted him on Christmas Eve, telling police that his 1997 Jeep Wrangler was missing.
“His cell phone was found on the couch in the living room, and family members stated that it was common for him to leave the house without his phone,” said the Logan Police Department.
After an investigation, Ring surveillance video from a neighbor showed Iannotti walking out of his driveway at 12:45 pm ET on December 26.
Iannoti’s Jeep hasn’t crossed any bridges since he went missing and his bank account hasn’t been active since before Christmas.
In their initial report, the Logan Police Department said foul play is not suspected.
Iannoti has taught and coached freshman football at Kingsway Regional High School in Woolwich Township, New Jersey, according to Iannoti. The Post-Courier.
Dave Reinersa former teammate of Iannoti, shared a touching post about the late teacher and coach via Facebook.
“I met Mr. I 30 years ago when I entered the Kingsway community,” Reiners wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “I would share a class with him. He never once complained that I was in his place. He welcomed me, guided me and generally showed me the ropes. Everything I became was a result of Steve Iannotti.”

Reiners added, “When I saw him around town he always had a smile and asked how everything was going. He was a great person and the world would be a smaller place without him. People always talk about the lives of teachers, Steve [a] the teacher who issued that tenfold. Between his leadership in the classroom and his leadership in athletics, he touched the lives of so many people.”
Many of his colleagues commented on Reiner’s post with similar messages about the late Iannoti.
“He touched all his colleagues,” wrote another. “He never complained and he really loved his job and his students. He will be missed.”
On another blog, a community member wrote, “God Bless his family and friends. Logan will never be the same. Every time we drive by him running, we feel inspired.”
