Why Love Is Blind Lydia and Milton Have Not Finalized Their Divorce Yet

Love Is Blind‘s Lydia Velez Gonzalez again Milton Johnson I can’t officially put the past behind them yet.

A shared resource only Us Weekly that the reality stars are still in divorce talks and are going back and forth over a mix of property and money issues.

“It took many months because with work and school coming first, Milton was delayed in the end,” added the insider. “But they are about to graduate.”

Lydia and Milton first connected in season 5 of Love Is Blindaired in 2023.

While the couple made an instant connection over rocks and geology — Lydia worked as a geologist while Milton was an engineer in the oil and energy industry, often working with rocks — things changed after the couple split.

“They are not talking,” said the source Us. “All communication is done through their lawyers. Once the divorce is over, they will happily never talk again.”

As for dating, the insider revealed that no one is interested in this. Instead, the two are “focused on finalizing the divorce, healing and closure.”

Us has reached out to attorneys for Lydia and Milton for comment.

In June, Lydia announced “What is the Truth?” podcast he had decided to do file for divorce from Milton just before marking their third wedding anniversary.

At that time, he shared with her Love Is Blind alum and podcast host AD Smith that they did not speak to each other and described their relationship as “non-existent.”

“It has been like this since March 31, the reason being [once] I asked for a divorce, he wanted an NDA,” said Lydia. “After that, he told me… [that I was] stupid and untrustworthy. … I don’t think he loves me because he gave me the silent treatment last month. If you truly love someone, you wouldn’t do this [and] in fact, he will answer for himself.” (Us he reached out to Milton for comment at the time.)

According to court documents obtained by UsMilton said that Lydia was “guilty of cruelty” to him “which makes cohabitation untenable.”

“Marriage can no longer be supported because of differences or conflicts between people [Milton] again [Lydia] that destroys the legal end of the marriage,” said his lawyer, “and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Soon after, Lydia applied amended divorce petition. In court papers, Lydia said Milton was “adulterous.” He also said that Milton was guilty of “brutal treatment,” which made living together impossible.

Lydia and Milton are not alone Love Is Blind stars that will undergo separation in 2025.

At the beginning of the year, season 7 star Ashley Adionser divorce her husband Tyler Francis after one year of marriage. Season 3 couple Alexa again Brennon Lemieux they announced at the beginning of the month that they were breaking up after four years of marriage.

Season 9, which premiered on Netflix in October, didn’t feature strong enough couples in marriage.
