The New York Times sparked a wide-ranging debate over its story about immigrants stealing American identities on Monday, with Vice President JD Vence blasting the Paper’s story at the center of the controversy.

The Times published a long report, “two men. Both are values. Both paid the price,” in the terrible night of Minnesota, “in the night it was reported that they were stolen by an illegal traveler in Guatemala, Romeo Pérez-Bravo.

Kluever endured years of IRS fines and garnished paychecks as the man thought his foreign income identity forced the real kluver into the wrong bracket.

Pérez-Bravo took on several identities during the decades he lived illegally in the US at times, was convicted of several drunken driving offenses and was deported in 2005, 2008 and 2009, so he returned each time, according to the report. The fake boat was involved in a fatal car accident in 2022 when it accidentally hit and killed a man who was riding with his grandson on a motorized tricycle, according to the report. That led to a wrongful death lawsuit, with Kluver listed as a defendant.

The Times Story highlighted the real frustration of politicians in Minnesota who thought illegal immigration was a pure crime, as he pointed to his debts and the expectation that there would be an investigation to find an investigator to find the fraudster. Eventually, investigators took his case and found Pérez-Bravo, who was charged with elder identity theft and false representation of a social security number. He was held in custody six weeks before his initial bond hearing in April and is currently awaiting trial, where he could potentially face prison terms and other charges, it was reported. Times.

Times revealed interviews with both people, and it was said that Pérez-Bravo feared detection from the Premp Administration.

An attorney for Perez-Bravo declined to comment to Fox News Digital.

Many conservative readers suffered from a headache and a sympathetic disconnect, and Vance was among the critics who took to x with thoughts.

“What a wonderful treat from the NYT,” it posted.

Sen. Jim Banks, R-Ind.

Sen. Cynththis Lummis, R-WYO., called it “absolutely ridiculous” at times.

“This illegal alien stole America’s glorious identity and extended his life for years, but the NYT exposes the double-edged sword, doubling down, repeating the true victim as the true victim,” Lummis said.

The New York Times defended the story in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“What are the benefits expected of journalists in the full times of what is happening in the country, and it does not support or oppose any of our political agenda.” It means anyone who is a major politician.

Another X user who criticized the damage was praised by the Times, however, for running the story.

“Editorial decisions aside, it’s good journalism, and it’s a credit to them that they care about whether or not the story is popular,” one employee wrote.

“This from @ALisaslow is a beautiful and sad story, and I will hope that a decent person will find a way to empathize with both of these men,” freedom writer Jill Filipovic wrote in X.

“No question, undocumented worker did bad things,” one user wrote. “But the case is complicated by years of problems and family examples. Both of these men failed a system that doesn’t take it seriously (horrible things!”

Washington Exangner’s Byron York said the headline was “disgraceful” but said the story made it clear that the dismissal of the situation should be “permanent and undeniable.”

The Justice Department released the case in March and said, “If convicted, Pérez-Bravo faces up to two years in prison for identity theft and up to five years for misusing a social security number.”
