Ukraine works on exchange deal to bring 1,200 prisoners: Zelenskyy – national

Ukraine is working to restart a prisoner exchange with Russia that could bring Ukrainian prisoners to Ukraine, President VolOdymymy.

“We are calculating the re-examination of the exchange of power,” Zelenskyy wrote in X.

“Many meetings, discussions and phone calls are currently taking place to ensure this.”

Rustem Umerov, the secretary of national security of Ukraine and the Defense Council, said Saturday that Turkey and the United Arab Emirates agreed to continue trade. He said the parties had agreed to activate the prisoner exchange agreements that Istanbul had made to release 1,200 Ukrainians. Moscow did not immediately comment.
