President Donald Trump said on Sunday when he spoke to the families of the two National Guardsmen shot last week in Washington, DC – that “they are fighting for his soldiers,” that they are fighting for both soldiers in the White House.
Trump told reporters around the corner that the families of the West Virginia National Guardsmen were “devastated” in the aftermath of the White House on Wednesday.
“Andrew is fighting for his life, and his parents are incredibly great people, people of great faith,” Trump said. “They’re praying, and they want everyone to pray for Andrew, and you have a chance to do it.”
Trump said he discussed the White House visit with both families.
