Former President Joe Biden reportedly raised only a “small fraction” of the money needed to build a Presidential library, according to a report from the New York Times on Saturday.
The report, based on a public survey and interviews with Biden’s donors, said that the former President’s library did not receive new fruits in 2024 and instead was entered with $ 4 million left over from his 2021 analysis.
According to the Times, the Library Foundation declined to participate in raising funds for 2025, and told the outlet that Biden is now actively raising money for the project.

Biden’s Library Table Foundation put out a statement announcing that it has delayed funders until now to allow time for “intensive” research, which includes visits to some of the president’s libraries.

When reached for comment, the University of Delaware said it has not transferred any money to the Biden Library Foundation, and declined to comment on the merger of the two projects. The BIDEN Library Foundation also declined to return The Times’ request for comment on whether it is considering merging the bid hall and the Biden book projects.
