Timothee Chalamet Jokes About His Unlikely Wheat Appearance

Timothée Chalamet he still can’t believe he’s on the cover of a Wheaties box.

The actor, 29, spoke on his limited edition Wheaties show “Marty Supreme Box” during an appearance on the show on Wednesday, December 17 The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon, 51, beamed as he held up the box, which featured a serious-looking Chalamet as fictional table tennis champion Marty Mauser, who he plays in the upcoming film. Marty Supreme.

In response, Chalamet joked, “With my poor anemic frame. The only way I was going to get into the Wheaties box was for art.”

He added, “Shout [to] all the children of art there are.”

Chalamet’s performance in Marty Supreme1950s period drama directed by Josh Safdie and costs Gwyneth Paltrowreceived positive reviews from critics. It hits theaters on Christmas Day.

“This is a film about giving up a dream,” he said Wednesday. “And it’s something that I can deeply understand. And we live in a dark time, especially for young people. So, this film is an attempt to heal that – and to continue to believe in yourself, to continue to dream big and follow your dreams and not take no for an answer. That’s the spirit of Marty Supreme.”

Chalamet admitted that he feels self-conscious promoting the movie with great enthusiasmand yet he is forced to do everything he can to persuade people to see it in the theater.

“In my head, it’s like, ‘Don’t go so hard, don’t go so hard,'” he said. [but] this is the man. Marty Supreme he is.”

Chalamet wasn’t shy about tooting his own horn.

“This is probably my best performance, you know, and it’s been seven, eight years since I felt like I was giving the best performances,” Chalamet said in a recent interview with Margaret Gardiner. “And it’s important to say it out loud because the discipline and the work ethic that I bring to these things – I don’t want people to take it for granted. I don’t want to take it for granted. This is actually some of the highest level***.”
