To make matters worse for Warren, John Ruth manages to get in over his head, but the two reach a temporary union during their stachecoach ride at the Haberdashery. When the storm rages and the fire roars, things seem fine at first for the hateful eight, but it doesn’t take long for paranoia to set in as each person begins to reveal their true nature.
Shrinking is used as a means of communication, guns are pulled, coffee is poisoned, bounties are contested, and finally, we get everyone’s momentum as they slowly open up in the name of wounds. It’s a tense build-up that reaches the kind of extreme violence you wouldn’t expect in a Quentin Tarantino film. No one is who they say they are, and when the truth finally comes out, things quickly turn ugly.
