The governor of New Jersey and Virginia ran into more difficulties than expected

– For todayNow you can listen to FOX news headlines!

Democrats running for governor in New Jersey and Virginia should win easily.

And yet the races are more difficult than the prognosticicists expected. Here’s why.

Mikie Sherrill, who was a former policeman and a prosecutor and a prosecutor and a systematic prosecutor, should be the meeting of Clobber Jack Ciattarelli, the meeting of onothtime who has already run twice and lost.

Since I started my career at a New Jersey newspaper, I can tell you that the garden state has never been so blue as it is now.

One problem Sherrill faces is that outgoing governor Phil Murphy isn’t overly popular, and voters tend not to reward a party in power when they bark.

And then there’s the Trump factor, hanging over Tuesday’s races like a storm cloud.

When Ciattarelli called Trump a “Charlatan” in 2015, they already mocked him. In 2012, he voted against the legalization of same-sex marriage but has since blossomed into a position of power.

Sherrill is doing everything possible to make the election about Trump. The President is stepping up, knowing very well that Ciattarelli cannot separate from Trump’s agenda on any issue without incurring his anger.

In addition, Trump canceled the $16 billion tunnel between New Jersey and New York. That’s paying off among North Jersey riders.

Throw in a month-long government shutdown, and a weekend suspension of Snap food benefits, and you’ve got a perfect storm for Sherrill.

But with Ciattarelli’s popularity in smaller communities, it won’t be a piece of cake.

Trump Stumps for the entire Virginia GOP ticket, and yet legitimately suspects power.

Virginia, rep. Abigail Spanberger, a former police officer, would normally go on to win against Lt. Gov. Trump doesn’t allow it.

But Spanberger showed a distinct lack of courage, and that hurt him.

The Democrat running for Attorney General, Jay Jones, is widely considered a disgrace. He said his partner had “two letters” over the guest house speaker, Todd Gilbert. Oh, and he liked to see his children die.

Spanberger could have insisted that he bowed to the race, that this meant nothing. But he didn’t. Jay Jones is back. That made him look like just another political stunt.

The priests were mostly given the Spanberger i-Pass, making it a matter of a day or two before moving on. But Earle-Sears, a veteran of wrestling, has thrown most of his budget into the issue, while also playing women who pass on the men’s sports debate.

Spanberger works against Trump’s economy as a way to play up the Commonwealth’s affordability crisis. He casts Trump’s tariffs as a huge tax line for Virginians. ”

Virginia is not as Blue as New Jersey, but the cities of the North certainly are, the place where the negative numbers of the organization are fired or are not paid during the shutdown.

Spanberger is trying to convert some rural trump voters. But as Senator Joe Manchin told Secondloy, “If you have your name in your name in rural America – Grassroots, Ruproots America – even if they try to exchange it.”

Spanberger is still trailing in double-digit wins, in a state won by Kamala Harris – so it looks like she’s weathered the storm.

New polls in Key Showdown for Virginia Governor show race in single digits

Trump, consumed by foreign travel and mediating wars, has paid little attention to this week’s election, at least. He didn’t choke anyone personally the last time. It’s as if he knows he has a hand in losing – a possible loss in the waning states – and doesn’t want to be associated with the outcome.

Barack Obama, the de facto hero of the useless Democrats, campaigned against Spanberger and Sherrill on Saturday.

That brings us to New York City and its cauldron of poison, a fenced-off, hyper-nationalist, kind of political polity.

Here Trump plays a role by constantly accusing Zohran Mamdani, the front runner to become the first Muslim Mayor of the City, as “Communists.”

The Republicans are already running against Mamdani, who belongs to the self-proclaimed conservative. He is a gift from the political gods. They made him the face of the democratic party.

Andrew Cuomo, who learned politics from his father Mario, when I first met him, had a lot of Mamdani. The polls suddenly strengthened, but Earismatic Mamdani still managed to win, mainly because the Republican Curtis Sliwa, who was an angel who was a Guardication with no chance, refused to come out.

The hard-edged Cuomo is not the right person. He was forced to resign four years ago after allegations of sexual harassment were raised, which he denies.

Finally Hakeem Jeffries gave Mamdani Mamdarm’s consent, despite the fact that he did not see Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, because he is the expected winner. If that happens, Mamdani will not be able to deliver most of his promises of free goods and services, because he will need help from Albany and other power centers.

And that will be put on the neck of all the democrats who run in more free places than five birds. Republicans will make sure that Mamdani is the most popular Democrat in the country, a symbol, rightly or wrongly, of the far-right party.

Annual elections are often snooze, a check block in which the powerful President does not vote. But this one has more steals and turns than the LA Dodgers hanging by their fingers to beat the Toronto Blue Days.
