The Dodgers survived the elimination behind the lightness of Tyler Glasnow

– For todayNow you can listen to FOX news headlines!

The reigning World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers entered Friday night one loss away from elimination.

But a bold move to bring in Sunday’s protected starter, Tyler Glasnow, in the bottom of the ninth inning helped the Dodgers survive.

Glasnow entered the Win-Or-Go home game with a Toronto Blue Jays runner on third base for the second time. It took Glasnow just three pitches to score three to close the game and force a game 7.

Two of those outs came after the Dodgers turned what appeared to be a game-tying collapse on a dramatic, game-ending play.

Dodger Manager Dave Roberts decided to shake up the lineup again in Game 6.

After moving from second to third in the order on Wednesday in a 5-game losing streak, Mookie was thrown into the bullpen Friday against the Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman.

Outfielder? Open? Shohei Ohtani’s Game 7 Role is wide open

Bets haven’t been sitting down for the fourth quarter since the final game of the 2017 League Qualifying series against Houston. Game 5 was the first time since 2021 that Betts started but was not in one of Los Angeles’ top two spots.

Betts pitched game 6 going just 3-for-23 with no RBIS or hits in the World Series, but he made the most of his new place in the batting order, delivering two runs in the third inning.

The Dodgers starting pitcher for the car shinobi was not just as sharp as in his field 2 hitters with four titter, the country’s first complete game series in ten years. He went six innings and allowed only the third RBI single to George Sprinker, who returned after missing two games with an injury to his right side.

After the game, Roberts explained his decision to use Glasnow in relief.

“This is do or die. You have to leave everything there and pick up all the pieces,” Roberts told Foxes Sports. “ROKI (Sasaki) was not sharp. I felt there was a scarf when I turned and missed things and I wanted to bet on him.”

Max Scherzer will start game 7 on Saturday night for the blue jays. He also started the final game of the World Series Game 7, getting the decision when Washington won the 2019 title over Houston.

The Dodgers are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back titles since the York Yankees won three straight from 1998 to 2000. In the meantime.

Game 7 is scheduled for Saturday at 8 PM et on Fox.
