Los Angeles police have obtained a court order barring the medical examiner’s office from releasing all details of their investigation into the death of a teenage girl, officials said Monday.
Investigators found a decomposed body in the Hollywood Tow Warce on September 8
Since then, Los Angeles police investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy on the body, which authorities say is Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a 14-year-old who ran away from home in Lake Elisnore.
In a prepared statement Monday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office said it received a “court order, established by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), to place security in medical case number 2025-14252.”
According to the medical examiner, the order was issued on Friday and requires that “There are no records or information related to that time, including the cause and manner of death and the death report and notification.”
“The Department’s mission is to be transparent with the public by providing information about our cases to empower people to make life-saving changes,” said Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Odey Ukpo. “Since becoming head of the Department, I have worked to eliminate the practice of placing security and handling medical examination cases simply by law enforcement request.
In the inspector’s statement, Ukpo appeared to question whether he was able to sign the findings.
“The security practice holds virtually no effect in other states and has not been proven to improve outcomes in the legal system. We are protected from serving that while the court’s order remains in this case.”
The LAPD first requested a safety arrest in the case on September 15, “which was denied due to insufficient justification to warrant the arrest,” according to the statement.
“The Department understands the public interest in this case and remains committed to secrecy where possible. Details will be available once the court order is lifted,” said the inspector’s office.
In response to the announcement of the medical examiner, lapd Capt. Mike Bland said this remains an ongoing homicide investigation and the purpose of the court order is to ensure that the PD receives information before the public.
For months, the police declined to name the singer – or anyone else – as a suspect in the case, saying it could not establish that the death was murder.
The bodies of the girl were found inside a black bag inside the trunk of the multiplatinum singer’s tesla. According to the police, the body was partially recovered, but it is not clear whether that was due to force or decomposition. The girl’s body weighed 71 pounds and had a “shhh” tattoo on her finger, according to medical records released before the court order.
Celeste’s body was found on her 15th birthday. Lapd Capt. Scot Williams said the girl had been dead for at least several weeks “before she was found.
The lapd robbery detectives determined that the Tesla had been left parked on the side of BlueBird Avenue since late July – the time that David Anthony Burke, began his national tour.
The new Gen Z Voice, D4VD appeared in a music video full of killer themes. In one part of the video, a lady with a wound on her chest is lying on a bed as the singer collapses on top of her, her eyes are shown, her white shirt splashed with blood. In another video, “One dance,” d4vd pulls a person – who carries the singer – in a car, where the couple puts the person in the trunk.
Long before her body was found, Celeste had fled to her lake in Lake Elsinore. He was in seventh grade, and his family reported him missing at least three times in 2024, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. At the time, he appeared alongside D4VD in an online appearance, and law enforcement sources indicated that he was living in a rented home with the singer.
Investigators believe more than one person was involved in the attempt to dispose of the teenager’s body months before his remains were found in the Tesla, according to two law enforcement sources familiar with the probe. He may have been dead since spring, according to one law enforcement source.
As part of their investigation, detectives searched the Hollywood Hills home where D4VD lived, t, and removed electronic evidence and other items that lived next to the singer’s manager.
Last week, Deputy Resident of Hlapd Alan Hamilton, who faced the investigation, said that “reporting is coming. They are waiting for justice for CeleSte Rivas.” “No one is at the table, including him (D4VD).”
Hamilton said Profeple may have gone down in recent days, but no official suspect has been named.
CeleSte first disappeared last year on Valentine’s Day. It was the first time he disappeared three times and it sparked many calls to management. His mother made emotional examples on Facebook and the family wanted a video from their area.
According to law enforcement sources, the singer and the girl met online. Burke shot to post clips “Fortnite” clips on YouTube and other social media and then there was a vote to make his own music and hit the beat with a song Love killings.
