Heavy rains swept across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, flooding hundreds of tents that sheltered families who have been fighting a two-year war for exposure, local health officials said.

The south said Rahaf Abu eight-year-old Rahaf Abu Jazari died of cold after the water reduced his family’s tent in Khan Younis, south of the case.

Crying and holding Rahaf in her arms, her mother, Hejari Abu Jazari, said she fed the girl before going to bed.

“When we woke up, we found the rain on her and the wind on her, and the girl died of sudden cold,” he told Reuters.

“There is nothing wrong with him. Oh, the fire in my heart, the fire in my heart, oh my life,” said the tears.

Lack of flood protection equipment

Municipal security authorities and local authorities say they were unable to deal with the storm due to fuel shortages and equipment damage. They said Israel destroyed hundreds of vehicles, including bulldozers and others used to pump water, during the war, which displaced more than two million people from most of Gaza.

The Civil Protection Service said most of the tent camps on the other side of the floodwaters were flooded, and received more than 2,500 calls for help. Some of the belongings of the fleeing people are seen floating above the pools of rainwater filling the pegs of the tent camps.

The UN report said 761 evacuation sites hosting about 850,000 people are at high risk of flooding and thousands of people are expecting heavy rain.

The UN and Palestinian Authority say at least 300,000 new tents are urgently needed for the 1.5 million people still being displaced. Most of the existing shelters are old or made of plastic and cloth.

Gazans have resorted to scavenging metal rods from the rubble of bombed-out houses and using them to prop up tents or sell a few dollars.

A ceasefire has largely been maintained since October, but the war has destroyed much of Gaza’s infrastructure, leaving living conditions dire.

Very rare

Hamas-led authorities say Israel is not allowing as much aid as promised under Truce. Aid agencies say Israel is blocking essential supplies. Israel says it is meeting its obligations and blames the cooperation agencies for failing to prevent theft by Hamas, which the group denies.

“We are holding Israel’s work in full due to the exposure of famous families to the weather as it continues to close the mountains and prevent the entry of aid and aid supplies, the head of the Hamas-Run Gaza government office.

The UN un Palestinaian Reffetue Agency Ugewa said the flooded roads and flooded tents were raised by the already dire conditions.

“Cold, too full and too weak to increase the risk of illness and infection,” said X.

“This suffering can be prevented with the help of unenlightened people, including medical support and suitable accommodation,” it added.

Many in Gaza have no shelter as the weather, living conditions worsen

People’s groups warn that the amount of aid entering Gaza is nowhere near the truce with Israel, and the rains have left many living in damaged settlements.

In Gaza City, three houses collapsed due to the rainstorm in the areas that Israel destroyed by the explosion, emergency services said.

Oct. 10 The ceasefire enabled hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to return to Gaza City. Israel has withdrawn troops from the city’s positions, and the flow of aid has increased.

But the violence does not stop completely. Palestinian health authorities say Israeli forces have killed 383 people in Gaza since the outbreak. Israel says three of its soldiers have been killed since the bombing began, and the scores are being counted.

On Thursday, the media said two Palestinian women were killed, and other people were wounded in tanks at the Israeli lake in Jabali in northern Gaza. The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
