The Chess Board can punish the Russian grandson who accused Naroditsky of cheating

The Governing Body of Chess said on Wednesday it is considering disciplinary action against the former world champion of Russia who continued to cheat on illegal allegations against Daniel Naroditsky in the year leading up to the death of the American chess player.

The Charlotte Chess Center in North Carolina, where Naroditsky was trained and worked as a coach, announced his death on Monday-. He was 29 years old. The cause of death was not made public.

Russian master Vladimir Kramnik, who held the world title for several years in the early 2000s, first accused the California-Born Pro of cheating in Online Chess in October. He continued to share his allegations on Social Media last year without providing much evidence.

Naroditsky, who became an 18-year-old Grandmother and addict, the highest title in chess alongside the World Chess Champion, has denied the allegations of cheating and accused Kramnik of trying to ruin his life.

Arkady Dvorkovich, the President of the International Chess Federation, said on Wednesday that he has officially transferred the relevant public statements made by Kramnik before and after the death of Naroditsky to the autopsy and the observation of the autopsy. He promised that the coalition would also take “appropriate action” in any case of social abuse or exploitation.

The body requires a lot of evidence to launch a cheating investigation and can raise a player who makes baseless accusations based on feelings or insufficient information, according to its anti-cheating rules. There are no written reports of the naroditsky detective master.

The Associated Press reached out Wednesday to Kramnik via social media for comment.

Naroditsky’s accuser was very critical

The investigation comes as several Grandmasters, including Hikaru Nakamura and Nihal Sarin, have denounced Kramnik’s behavior, saying the Russian Pro harassed Naroditsky and tried to destroy his reputation.

Chess-time of World Chess Magnus Carlsen called Kramnik’s Purfakayo of NARODITSKY “amazing.”

During his last Livestream Satuy, Naroditsky told the massive internet following that Kramnik’s cheating claims paid off.

“Since the Kramnik Stuff, I feel like I’m starting to do well, people are taking on the worst intentions.

It is not the first time that Kramnik has been accused of abuse. Internet Chess Server Chess.com Shut Down Kramnik’s Blog on the site in 2023, saying he would use it to spread baseless allegations about “many, many players.”

The following year, Kramnik published a list of players on social media under the title “Cheating Tuesday” which included Czech Grandmaster David Navara. Navara later shared on his blog that his suspicions of Kramnik drove him to kill himself. Kramnik responded by suing vavara for defamation.

In June, the Federation responded to the Players’ Plastic spat, citing how Kramnik pointed out that his arguments “cause a lot of damage to the chess community” and “could be disastrous for the careers and well-being of some players.” The group invited Kramnik to present the details of his method and the statistical data of the official experiment.

Chess cheating allegations have increased significantly during the pandemic

Kramnik’s Anti-Cheade Crusade exploded with an online game shift during the Covil-19 pandemic.

Many specialized players sell a virtual keyboard chess board to continue playing in rotation, creating the popularity of the disappointment of streaming content and the best online games where the Internet is the best where Naroditsky.

Cerebral gamers are known to value polite behavior above the Board. But in the digital arena, a new level of toxicity has been created, with allegations of plagiarism becoming more prevalent and harder to prove. Players now have sophisticated computer programs at their fingertips that can give them an unfair advantage, and new ways to limit their success online.

In Blitz and Bullet Chess, where players have just minutes to finish a large match, experts say the top talents often go with the speed and accuracy of the computer. Naroditsky was among the top Blitz players in the world and won the US Blitz tournament in August.

“In recent times, the public debate within the chess world has often been moved to the limits of what is acceptable, harming not only people’s reputations but their well-being,” said Dvorkovich on Wednesday. “When this happens, conversations can turn into abuse, exploitation, and personal attacks – a big concern in today’s environment.”

“The chess community has long respected the achievements of GM Vladimir Kramnik, and his contribution to our game cannot be denied,” he continued. “The same standards are associated with great success, and, give the responsibility to support the principles of fairness and respect and be ambassadors of the game.”

Dvorkovich said the Federation would establish an award in Naroditsky’s memory.

Kramnik continued to post about Naroditsky on the day his death was announced, calling it a tragedy and pondering the cause. Kramink wrote on social media platform ux that the death “should be investigated by the police.” He wrote on Wednesday that he found threats behind the state’s “public knowledge about the ‘darkness’ of today’s chess.”
