Tennessee Mom Shelby Martin shares the birth story of a 13-lb baby

To this day, Martin can’t stop thanking the hospital staff who took care of his family for the time being.

In a Facebook post, Martin noted that he “couldn’t have asked for a better team to take care of our boy, or a better hospital to take care of my dad and me.”

Martin added that he holds a special place in his heart for other moms and dads who find themselves in the NICU.

“This was my first NICU experience, so we had to ask permission to hold him and see him with tubes attached and the monitors were all new to me,” he recalled. “Coming home without him was the hardest part.”
