Sydney Sweeney she was once told to “fix” her face if she wanted to make it in Hollywood.

In a new interview with Variety, the 28-year-old actress – who is promoting her upcoming film, “Christy” – recalled a moment in her career when she was advised to get Botox at the age of 16.

“I have strong eyebrow muscles,” he told the outlet, recalling the various audgets he secretly read. “And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to do it. I’m going to get botox.

Elsewhere in the interview, Sweeney opened up about navigating both Hollywood and the screen and explained how she’s been able to handle criticism for her looks.

“I’m definitely still a cut animal in a sense,” she told the outlet, while describing her character – serial boxer Christy Martin. “Working is my ring. It’s where I feel free. The set is where everything else is quiet.”

It is at the end of the film that Sweeney is faced with various challenges – including an ongoing discussion about his body.

“I play a lot of divisive characters, and I think a lot of people think they know me, but they don’t,” he told the outlet. “So, when people think, ‘Ah, you’re a sex symbol,’ or you lean on that, ‘I say, ‘No, I feel strong, and I feel strong.'”
