Steelers’ DK Metcalf Clashes With Fans In The Stands During The Game

Pittsburgh Steelers player DK Metcalf was seen arguing with a fan in the stands during a Detroit Lions game.
On Sunday, December 21, Metcalf, 28, was seen chatting with a Lions fan who was leaning on the stadium seats. Metcalf is then seen throwing the fan, who was wearing a black and green shirt and blue wig. The wide receiver did not appear to make physical contact with the fan, and the fan did not act or appear injured.
Photos of the moment were shared by the NFL on CBS’s official CBS account, with the caption, “DK Metcalf appears to be in an altercation with a Detroit fan.”
Metcalf was not ejected from the game, and there was no flag or game time penalty. Gene Steratorea CBS rules analyst, explained that the contact would not have been penalized because it happened off the field and the officials did not see it.
“Because the officials didn’t see this – and (you) wouldn’t expect it to come up where DK Metcalf was, it’s not something they would consider from a management perspective. [it] it will be brought up to NFL compliance, and they will fix it at that time,” said Steratore, CBS.
