South park It’s always been a counterculture show, and one of the reasons I’ve been critical of the current run of episodes 27 and 28 is that the series has become as cheap a political commentary as any other late night show. It is no longer different; Preaching to the choir, just like that, is boring. Trey Parker and Matt Stone know this all too well, and for the first time they pulled back the curtain on their latest episode, “The Wife in a Dress,” which not only criticizes the Trump administration but creates it.
Stan Marsh, who used to serve as Parker’s avatar, sums it up perfectly when he says, “Parker sucks now.
I have been saying for months that I miss the old one South park Because the episodes involving the boys and their arms have always been the best part of the show. I’ve been called a fascist for criticizing a show that criticizes our current president, as if you can’t criticize both things for different reasons.
Let me be very clear here: Criticizing Donald Trump’s critical TV series doesn’t mean you can’t also criticize Donald Trump. Those are two different things. The fact that needs to be spelled out is more than sad because it shows how bad we are at critical thinking.
Recent seasons have revolved around long political arcs featuring Trump, Satan, and back-to-back storylines instead of the single issues that made the original payoff. The change in fans has split in a big way.
It’s good to know, though, that I’m not alone in my thoughts about this city. “The Woman on Trial” is currently ranked 286th on IMDB according to fan ratings, with a 7.3 star rating as of this writing. Parker and Stone, who was seen now you can see that they are writing themselves into the same corner as they did in season 20 (when they banked on Clinton winning in 2016 only to rewrite the arc of the fly when he lost the season.
South park Commentators on YouTube shared the same sentiment that the series has become too political, with creators like Bloom and Truffle breaking down exactly what’s wrong with the show these days. While I can’t say whether Parker and Stone actually watched this break down, I know with confidence they are aware of the noticeable decline in the quality of their creations.
Spending a long time turning the mirror to their critics (them)’ of the woman in the hat, “I’m starting to think that the seasons 27 and 28 are part of their cake and eat it. They will still follow the Trump administration, and hard, but they also include it with the intention of their show of the process to prove the point.
Without going into the political satire angle of South park It continues to spit on “the woman in the hat” because anyone can look that up on wikipedia, instead I want to focus on the boys and their problem to save their city from political discovery. Stan, who wants to save South Park, takes a page from the “Butterwells” PlayBook seen in Season 16 Episode and decides the best way to prove that his point can make his Cryptocurrency Schee. I hope he didn’t end up in another San Diego street meeting with his pants down where he bit off more than he could chew.
This is exactly what Parker and Stone did by dealing with $1.5 billion related to Paramount. +. They delayed the production of Season 27 to avoid politics and focus on the boys, then felt compelled to go full political shock after long negotiations and legal hassles.
During this time, some politically charged shows The late Stephen Colbert show They were pulled or replaced by Paramount Global, which only reinforces the idea that Parker and Stone need to say something in the name of free speech. Deciding to double down and go hard on current events before the ink is even dry on their new contract, South park The creators are more active than ever with the “sermon on the mountain.”
South park It’s more popular than ever, and it was fun for a minute. But then it became one note, and it got boring fast. As it is possible that the worms could not be opened in the form of an arc involving Trump and his “Trump” and Satan, season 27 ended after just five episodes, and season 28 marks the stylistic departure of the series. Stan’s cry over South Park sucking now, in my mind, mirrors how Trey Parker feels about the show. But when Stan said, “What’s wrong with trying to make a little money while also pointing out the things that are wrong with our city?” It means.
and South park Being a legal entity, I can see why Parker and Stone feel a responsibility to use their LAMOON SOLICITORIAL platform for GREATER PERFORMANCE. Feeling powerless to break away from politics, they have decided to do what they do best, which they can’t fill themselves with their fans who no longer enjoy a series like this one.
I’m starting to see the pieces fall into place. South parkwhich just locked in one of the most lucrative deals in TV history, could prove itself to be the point when it comes to rebooting the franchise.
If this decline is intentional, it can be avoided back to the failure of the art of performance. As soon as South park It sees its automatic immersion in the view of its new audience charged with politics that sticks only to the hard stuff, fans who like to be tired of the new appreciation taken with it, with the slowness of the series, with the dissonance that hurts the bottom line of the paramount.
I may be off base here, but it seems like this is by design. Parker and Stone took $1.5 billion and alienated their core audience in a process that is probably the most accessible thing anyone can do, and they laughed all the way to the bank.
As for the entire season 28, I think I’ll stick around. It was great to see the guys sitting at the same table, figuring out how to save South Park, while hearing Trey Parker use Stan to vent his frustrations with the creative direction it’s taken.
I hope I’m right, but we’ll have to wait and see.
