Russian attack kills at least 6 in Ukraine, as US and Russian diplomats hold talks in Abu Dhabi

Russia launched a wave of attacks in Ukraine on Tuesday, killing at least six people in urban strikes that hit city buildings and energy infrastructure, while an attack on energy infrastructure in the south killed three homes, authorities said.

The major offensive comes amid a renewed push to end a nearly four-year-old war and talks about a one-party peace plan. Defense Secretary Dan Driscoll – who became part of the US negotiating team less than two weeks ago – met with Russian officials for several hours in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

“Late Monday and Tuesday, Driscoll’s secretary and team were in talks with the Russian delegation to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine. Driscoll’s secretary is very coordinated. Jeff Tolbert, Driscoll’s spokesman.

The exact nature of the talks was not immediately clear, and it was not known who was on the Russian team.

Russia fired 22 missiles of various types and more than 460 drones in Ukraine overnight, the President of Ukraine Voldymyy wrote by telegraph, he wrote that four drones flew in Romania and Moldova.

Romanian and German fighter jets were attacked near the Romanian-Ukrainian border in response to the drone’s death. Defense Minister Ionut I-TodeANAU said Nato pilots approached to shoot down the drone, but held back, worried about causing damage on the ground.

It was the 13th time since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine that Ukraine predicted the violation of its airspace.

Ukraine Allies meet almost

Yesterday followed the talks between the representatives of the US and the representatives of Ukraine in Geneva about the US-Russia peace deal.

Oleksandr Bevz, a delegate from the Ukrainian side, told the media that the talks were “constructive” and the two sides were able to discuss many points.

Important issues remain as the deadline for the Ukraine Peace Deal approaches

The deadline set by the US to work for peace in Ukraine is days away, but despite ongoing talks, important issues remain far from being resolved – including whether Ukraine will cede territory to Russia.

Confusion reigned again over the weekend, showing that the US policy on war has been full for the past months, although the White House has been consistent with the protection of allied forces, and the administration of Donald Trump has not had a significant military impact or military assistance in Ukraine.

The 28-point plan that came out last week caught many in the US Congress, Kyape and Europe who picked it up and were inspired by new concerns that the Trump administration would agree to pressure Ukraine to sign Moscow.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that the Est-Bloored Plan in Ukraine is “direct” but he also warned and should not strengthen relations.

The French head of government said any peace deal with Moscow must include strong security guarantees in Ukraine, and that the size of Ukraine’s armed forces should not be restricted.

Macron was speaking to Radio Sradicaster rsl before a video conference meeting of countries, led by France and the UK, who can help the police or any trader with Russia.

“We want peace but we don’t want the existing peace,” he said. “That is to say, it puts Ukraine in an impossible position, that it finally gives Russia the freedom to go on, on and on,” Macron said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday morning that Moscow had not received a renewed peace plan.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that he accepted the first country of the first plan of the US peace plan in Ukraine – which is Kyiv and alliv of which he was taken by Washington after Washington.

If the redacted version did not show when Putin and Trump spoke in Alaska in August, Lavrov said Russia would take a very different view of the plan.

That first plan had permanently withdrawn NATO membership from Ukraine, they tied its forces to 600,000, proposed to hand over all Donbas to Russia – even though it was Donbas in Russia – even though it was a popular area – and they authorized Kyiv to hold elections within 100 days.

All of these events have reportedly been amended or sidelined now.

‘Putin will not stop’

Back in Ukraine, Russian strikes knocked out water, electricity and heat in parts of Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. Video footage sent to the Telegraph showed a massive fire spreading through a nine-storey residential building in Kyiprovskkyi in the KniProvskkki district.

Liubov Petrivna, a 90-year-old roommate in DniProvskyi district, told AP that “everything” in her apartment was destroyed by the strike and that “glass was raining down” on her.

Petrivna said that she does not believe in the peace plan that is currently being discussed: “No one will ever do anything about it. Putin will not stop until he accompanies us.”

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said two people were killed and five injured in the Dniprovskki region. In the next attack, four people were killed and three were injured in a strike on a building in the western district of Kyatoshynyi, according to the head of the Kyiv City Administration, according to Tymur Tkachenko.

Klitschko said about 20 others in Kyiv were injured in the attack.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said it targeted military-industrial facilities and energy facilities.

Ukrainian drones hit a Russian city

Russia also lost its southern district of Rostov overnight, as three people were killed and eight others were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack. The damage occurred in the city of Taganrog, not far from the border in Ukraine, Gov. yuri Syusur said in an online statement on Tuesday.

The attack damaged several private houses and residences, non-public areas, a warehouse and a paint shop, Sylusar said.

Russia’s air defense destroyed 249 Ukrainian drones overnight over various regions of Russia and the occupied Crimea, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday, saying that 116 drones were shot down over the Black Sea.
