Rhode Island High School will reinstate a teacher who was placed on administrative leave after calling USA Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk “garbage.”
In an email sent Friday and obtained by FOX News Digital, Special Superintendent Bob Mitchell of Barrington Public Schools said social studies researcher Benjamin Fillo will return to do this in violation of the district’s media policy.
“The high school teacher at the center of the latest Independent District investigation will return to the classroom on Dec. 1,” an email from Mitchell Read. “The State Investigator’s report now confirms that the teacher violated the district’s social media policy, which has led to a major disruption in our district. This is to address the details of internal actions, the district is moving forward and maintaining strict expectations of employee behavior.”

Not long after Killing Kirk On September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University during his return to America, Fillo posted a video Shingy Kirk “hated the LGBTQ community” and “hated.”

Mitchell acknowledged the controversy in his email: “It’s no secret that in the last two months, our districts have been challenged to feel safe and certainly as a whole we feel safe in our work.”

He said the school will increase security measures and has been working with Barrington Police, Rhode Island State Police, the FBI Providence office and other local agencies to coordinate the response to the Rempstatement.
Mitchell also said “students who have concerns or need a place to process recent events will have access to school counselors will have access to school counselors, our district staff, and our district staff. In addition, our district professionals have developed advanced health services.”
Heather Ryan, a parent of a ninth grader at Barrington High School, told FOX News Digital that she is “disturbed” by the decision.
“It’s a real tragedy to see a teacher allowed to violate multiple school district policies and return to work after a paid vacation,” Ryan said. “Celebrating political killings is intellectual and appropriate without accolades.
District spokeswoman Sarah Dell told Fox Digital News: “The independent investigation is complete, and the teacher will return to the classroom. Because of this type of personnel, we cannot discuss further details.”

Dell added, “We are working closely with the Bringson Police Department, including local partners, on the incident, and they are focused on connecting our community.
He also said the school knows “that some families may wish to speak to their school administrators about their student’s needs, and the school will work with them to ensure appropriate support, including any student who may need space to talk or process recent events.”
“We recognize that members of our community can hold different opinions and hear more, and we remain committed to supporting every Barrington student and family. Our commitment is to be safe, resilient, and serve the district.
A statement from the Abolition School Committee read in part that the fuel is an experienced educator with deep expertise in first amendment law, public school policy, and employee ethics. “
The Barrington School Committee said in a statement that it was concerned about the backlash from the teachers’ unions, adding “national organizations, including many staff members and school committee members – if the district took action we would find it satisfactory.”
“The financial consequences of those vacancies will reach several hundreds of thousands of tax dollars, while risking important leadership in management and sustainability is important. We are not willing to include lessons in matters of that level of financial risk and performance,” it continued.

Solas is a mother who lives in a different school district than her private school children because the National Education Association Rhode Island (nearby) made fun of her for sending public records four years ago.
