RECHUNDY RECHYBY, RR-RECE COMEDY ROMP you will love to go far

Today’s horror movies are much tamer than before, with the nudity and seriousness of yesteryear’s rated films. But if you’re in the mood for the kind of freaky movie they just don’t do, you should know that the top schlocky exploitation movies are just a click away. Now you can stream FrankenHooker (1990) on Prime Video, and this funky, Sci-Fi comedy is guaranteed to blow your mind.
The layout of FrankenHooker that the Fiancée of a young scientist is killed in a hot case involving a legal automaton. He decides to bring her back to life by collecting body parts from various prostitutes and using some cool, creative science. He is not ready for the beast he has created, and the world itself is not ready for his violent rage and attack by the fish.
A movie with amazing talent

The cast of FrankenHooker both eclectic and talented, starting with James Lorinz (well known outside of this movie King of New York) As our blue-green scientist who will do anything to bring his FIANCÉE from the dead. That fiancée is played by Patty Mullen (well known outside of this movie Doom Asylum) Like Arthur Frankenhooker, a humanistic creation that was destined to help us learn more about humanity. Ck steefel (best known for several episodes of Seinfeld) Plays a prostitute who watches her co-workers use Super Crack (how’s that for a PSA-Drug PSA?).
As for the talent behind the camera, director Frank Henenlotter deserves special praise for doing the impossible, that is, using a tale of sexual exploitation and violence and creating a masterpiece. I know this sound is crazy, but it’s true: this is the man who brought us Basket case and Brain damage and he was able to deliver a feminist movie. This is a film that has a lot to say about inclusion of the heart and female agency, but that’s easy to miss because this is a film full of extreme nudity and extreme violence.
A box office bomb and a serious lover

Sadly, the general audience decided that this raunchy comic strip was not the sum of its parts. Against a budget of $2.5 million, FrankenHooker only earned over $205,000 at the box office, even after receiving a surprise boost from Bill Murray (The Ghostbusters Star used to be his age). This killed any chance of a sequel, although I can only imagine that Frank Henenlotter would have been directing Bride of Frankenhooker.
Despite its crazy title and even its over-the-top plot, critics had a surprising verdict for this raunchy piece of schleck cinema: “It’s alive!” On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has a rating of 65 percent, with critics generally praising the performance from James Lorinz (their patty’s madness (patty’s high comedy (its physical comedy) (his physical comedy is high (his comedy is high). Critics also praised Director Frank Henenlotter for using visual language of exploitation to tell a Feminist Love Story.
A24 before A24

I was struck by the critics when I watched FrankenHooker Because I expected this to be just another cheesy rushed horror movie filled to the brim with boobs and blood. While the film never satirizes unbridled nudity or brutal saturation, it also serves as both a genre and commentary on minogyny in America. Decades before A24 got everyone talking about “Higher Horror,” FrankenHooker It has been proven that you can deliver an intelligent script with social commentary without sacrificing the entertainment value (don’t worry, this movie: This movie never preaches you too much in the punchlines of the punchlines of the innane).

Will you agree to that? FrankenHooker Is it Smart’s shocking schlock, or is this one movie you’d like to explode with a few grams of serious crack? The only way to get to stream the movie in all its bawdy (or should that be body?) glory is on Prime Video. After all, you might be a lifelong fan of Frank Henenlotter, the steezest sleaze director to ever step foot behind a camera.
