Boris Becker speaks real time in my prison in his new prison, “inside,” published in Germany last week and because of the English month.
In 2022, the tennis star was shut up for 231 days in Britain on the wrongs that were not destroyed.
Becker spoke to a DPA at a party launched by a letter.
DPA: Is there anything you learned during your time in jail?
Becker: Yes, much. I showed greatly on the reasons why I ended in prison, and what the mistakes I have made, when things start to go wrong. It has now two and a half years since my release and deportation in Germany, and my wife and I were living in Italy from April 2023. We can be a little proud how to reorganize our lives.
DPA: ‘Were those two lessons, three, four I remember every day’?
Becker: I’ve been very careful with people. My trust is exposed. I used to be a human person and let everyone. That’s not gone. I am very careful and have a small circle of friends. And I don’t think that will change at times. I have been burned before. There is a saying: ‘Show me your friends, your gathering of friends, and I’ll tell you who you are.’ My gathering of friends today is holiness, but I’m not talking about it.
DPA: How can you say that people are ready?
Becker: Everyone should look for themselves on a circle of friends and find out who is out of place. Who has sat, sustaining and who doesn’t do it? Many people turn away from me and have no time or they feel like it or not want to face me, and that’s okay. Now I see that most of them knock on my door and and would like to play some form of the passage again. So I see that this jumped me for me and this attempt was to be tried.
DPA: What is Boris Becker after the prison?
Becker: I think that I am prove myself to prove: What isolate it as a tennis player? What was my strength? What were my qualities? What was my weakness? And I think I have returned to the plus when I played well to tennis, where my life is organized.
DPA: How far is the line between the jail risk to prove you and the opportunity to return to your old power?
Becker: There is a saying: ‘If you are in prison for 10 years or more, the prison will never allow you to go.’ The state of responsibility in prison does something on your psyche. Prison is punishment for the errors you made. It hurts so much and sometimes dangerous. Anyone who says else means. The English prisons maybe worse than people of Germany. Although 231 days were very far, it was only the last thing compared to long-time prisoners. You can find it. With the help of your family and good friends, of course. I don’t think my time in prison is injured.
DPA: Before you go to prison, you have a sense of being like films. How do you view such films in prison now?
Becker: In eyes completely different. Not really shown in the film with prison, because it is dining and boring, this time alone in your cell. And that’s a bad thing in prison. It is not when you are at work or when connecting to other prisoners, but you simply spend all that same time on your cell. That’s a cruel part. But that never came from the films.
The DPA: People who commit a very different crime is in prison. How do you deal with that?
Becker: An amazing thing that there was no difference. A white criminal was near the killer, and a murderer on the separate pedophile, and Pedodophile was near the drug dealer. There is no difference made between the charges you made. That shocked me and I didn’t expect it.
DPA: Does that feel going at a time?
Becker: It’s like everything else: We get used to everything, even the worst moments. You should stop judging or dropping people. We all suffer alike, the loneliness of the cell. We all eat the same food, we all look like the same. There is no difference in the treatment. You should lose soon not to ‘I’m more important than you’ in prison. You are not judge in prison.
DPA: In a public exam, you have been public. That means that people judge and are your judges. Writes that Germany renewed your problems. Do you have only a feeling during failing to pay your bills?
Becker: I have been a public number from July 7, 1985 [ed.: Becker’s first Wimbledon victory]or I love it or not! The aliens judged them, regardless of their truly ignorance. I am loved by others and the unpopular, in part of the same reason. I learned that I can’t please everyone and live my life. Overseas, I see differently and I don’t have this misunderstanding.
DPA: Can you think you’re living in Germany again?
Becker: Short answer: No. Yes, this is related to my private life’s desire, and with my desire to learn something about me weekly – or bad, no matter. And I think we’ve made the best choice about Italy.
DPA: What is the legal state? Can you get back to England and WigDon?
Becker: I would like to return to Wimbledon. Wimbleddon wins my life I amazing and it’s just part of my DNA. We contact your Home Office and the Department of Justice and work together to find the return. But I can’t tell you when it will be.
DPA: In your book, writes about your hard financial situation even after your arrest – for two and a half years, how can you describe yet? Is there anyone where you want to attend this time?
Becker: I have not been debts since April 27, 2024. I’m part of the working people and I have to work hard to get income. I have never inherited or given anything. But I don’t have to complain, I do little financially today and my wife and I build our heritage together.
DPA: Now you have another job before you: you’ll be my father again. He said what were the children’s clothing?
Becker: Unlike in the past, I try to keep my private life confidential, so I don’t share everything with the community. But like the four Father, and soon to have five, I know more about children.
DPA: Will you still take tennis racket from time to time?
Becker: Yes, I do. My wife loves play – very difficult yet, but she enjoys playing and wants to play with her husband, I can understand. My children, my older boys, were in Milan recently and wanted to play tennis with their father. So I have done. There is different when I go out my tennis rackt again.
DPA: and how good is it?
Becker: “I think I can still beat you. I think I can even beat everyone in the room.”
About someone: Boris Becker is one of the world’s most famous Germans. In 1985, only 17, he won a tennis tournament in Wimbledon. Once you continue to win some of the many achievements, winning the total number of sixths of Grand Slam. After his time as a professional tennis player, Becker continued to make it look in the community. On April 2022, he was found guilty of London Court for failing to announce the goods in the formation. Spent 231 days in prison.
