Prince George Joins Kate Middleton For Her First Anniversary

Prince George made his first appearance at the British Royal Legion of Remembrance Service ceremony.

George, 12, joined his mother, Princess Kate Middletonat London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, November 8. Mother and son sat in the royal box King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie and other members of the royal family.

For the event, George is smartly dressed in a black suit with a striped tie and a poppy pin attached to his stocking. Kate, 43, also donned a poppy pin, adorning her long black dress with a White Pan Collar.

The commemoration is celebrated each year in November in the UK to commemorate the commemoration rights of soldiers who served the Commonwealth. To show their support, many citizens often sport poppies on their laps.

Kate and her husband, Prince Williamusually attending the royal Albert Hall service. William, 43, however, was absent on Saturday as the Memorial draws closer to his ongoing visit to Brazil to receive the world prize.

William and Kate have been married since 2011, and welcomed George, Cyssss Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

The family recently faced a trying time after the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer in early 2024. After continuing chemotherapy last year, Kate said in January 2025 that she was in remission.

“I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Marsden royals for taking such good care of me this past year,” he wrote in a statement on Instagram. “My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all those who have walked in peace alongside William and me as we have all gone. We couldn’t have asked for more.”

He continued, “It’s a relief now that you’re in the desert and I’m always focused on cancer recovery. I’m taking time to adjust to next year. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”

Kate has firmly returned to her public-facing duties while navigating her new life.

“She puts on a kind of brave face, Stodisms about treatment. Treatment is done, then, ‘The Duchess says afterwards,’ said the Duchess, afterwards, “said the Duchess, afterwards,” said the Duchess during an appearance at Essex’s Colchester Hospital in July. “You’re no longer under the clinical team, but you can’t work normally at home like you probably used to.”

He added, “Someone to help you talk about that, to show you and guide you through that kind of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really important.”

Kate’s cancer battle also affected George and his younger siblings.

“Everybody has their own way of copying these things, and kids are always learning and adapting,” Williams said during a recent episode of Eugene LevyApple TV + Series. “We try to make sure we give them the safety and security they need. We’re a very open family, so once you know knock, you never know you’ll be with us.”
