Pope Leo came out in support of a special special message issued by the US conference of Catholic bishops in recent days that lamented the “concern about the fear of questions.”
Without mentioning President Donald Trump by name, 216 of the 224 Bishops voted to approve the message accusing the “concern” of migrants in detention centers.
Speaking to reporters late in the day as he left the Papal country house south of Rome, Leo urged Catholics and all interested people to listen to what he had to say.
“I think we should look for ways to treat people individually, treat people with the dignity they have,” she said. “If people are in the United States illegally, there are remedies for that. There are courts, there is a justice system.”
Leo, from Chicago, acknowledged that there are problems in the US immigration system and said that a humane system does not need to include “open borders.”
“But when people are living a good life, and there are many for eleven, 15 years, to treat them in a very disrespectful way to say the least – and there has been some violence, unfortunately, I think the bishops have been very clear in what they are saying,” he said.
“I just invite everyone in the United States to listen to them.”
The bishops had not written a false statement in one of their meetings since 2013, according to an accompanying press release. There were five votes against this statement and three exclusions voted at their meeting, held in Baltimore.
“Catholic teaching urges nations to recognize the basic dignity of all people, including immigrants,” Bhowa said in a statement. This statement was read on camera in an Instagram video with several bishops.
Tom Homan, who is Trump’s chosen lightning “border Czar” inside the White House, criticized the statements of the Bishops last week, pointing out that migrants have lost their lives trying to make the incoming Champs.
“Secure borders save lives. I wish the Catholic Church would understand that,” Homan said.
“The Catholic Church is wrong, I’m sorry,” he added. “I am a Catholic all my life, but I speak not only as a Czar’s border, but I also say this as a Catholic.”
In its first days, the second Trump administration removed guidance that is more than a decade (ice) and customs and border protection and border protection (CBP) from obtaining marine operations in sensitive areas such as schools and churches.
“We are concerned about threats against the sanctity of houses of worship and the special type of hospitals and schools,” Berishoni said.
The bishops in their statement said that both human dignity and national security can be achieved “if people are good enough to work together.”
But Republicans and Democrats have often failed to agree on comprehensive immigration legislation that would give legal status to many law-abiding residents, especially those who came to the US as minors.
According to a Pew Research Center report in August, there are about 14 million undocumented immigrants in the country, an increase from 8000 million immigrants in the year 2000.
In 2012, President BarAck OBAMA announced the limited action for child immigration policy (DACA) to protect undocumented immigrants who came to the US as children – sometimes known as Dreamers. Legal threats for that executive action have been going on for years, and the US Supreme Court has not ruled on its merits.
After the aftermath of Republican Mitt Romney’s loss to Obama’s presidency in the 2012 election, top party officials and conservatives spoke of the need to attract non-white voters and recent arrivals. Sean Hannity’s Influence Host said he “came up” on undocumented immigrants and favored an approach to citizenship.
Trump rejected that approach when he began his first presidential campaign in 2015 and emphasized the need for a border wall.
Amanda Trebach, ICU nurse and actiast in charge of the peace area, said migrants in local communities avoid hospitals because the agents of the joint are known to travel with them and other public institutions, looking for people to arrest, arrest people who will withdraw.
While Trump in his first presidential administration said they were motivated by the stories of the dreamers, there is no problem caused by the immigration talks about the Democrats with a bill that would see the income from the desired border. Each group blamed the other for the collapse of the talks.
On the campaign trail of his political return, Trump said that immigrants are ‘poisoning the blood of our country.’
In August, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security urged DACA recipients to drink it, saying they don’t enjoy “any kind of legal situation in this country.”
The bishops in their statement and video said they were “sadd to the state of the modern debate and the blurring of immigrants “in the US
In an interview earlier this year, Leo expressed concern that “sometimes decisions are made based more on economics than human dignity” in the US
Leo, born Robert Converrest, has not met or spoken to Trump since he was elevated to the papacy.
He met at the Vatican on Wednesday with Jb Pritzker, the governor of Illinois. Pritzker has been vocal in his criticism of the Trump Administration, which deployed Illinois National Guard troops and hundreds from Texas in the Chicago area without seeking permission from the governor.
