Peyton Manning recalls an awkward dinner with Queen Elizabeth at the White House
Peyton Manning he remembered being a fish out of water at the white house party that was attended at the end Queen Elizabeth II.
Back in May 2007, Peyton, 49, and his wife, Ashley Manningthey were the guests of the president George W. Bush his wife, Laura Bushwhere the queen and her humble husband, Piti Philipvisited Washington, DC, for a white dinner.
President Bush, 78, was a guest on Peyton and Brother Elinning‘ The nipple spread in between Monday night football Monday, November 17, when they exchange stories in the evening.
“Ashley sat at the table with you, queen, [late golfer] Arnold Palmer, [broadcaster] Jim Nantz“‘Peyton remembered.’ His table was set. I was in the back corner. My question, Mr.
Bush didn’t hesitate, saying, “Yes. Yes, I was there.”
“Also, I was happy to have a beautiful woman at the table,” the former president said, referring to Peyton’s wife.
Bush continued to joke at Peyton’s expense, saying he put her at a different table because she was “worried he was going to pull on your tux.”
When it came time to meet the queen, Bush remembered the Kentucky Derby jockey who broke the cooking rule and tried to give her his crown.
“I thought the secret service was going to take him away,” Peyton said.
Before meeting the queen herself, Peyton said her mother, Olusia“You are afraid” he would take him on his back.
“He was like, ‘Don’t see the queen,'” Peyton recalled.
Fortunately, President Bush was there to give Peyton the PEP speech before the big moment.
“He said, ‘Wow, this is how you talk to the queen,'” Peyton said. “Americans don’t bow down. He gave me all the rules. He took care of me.”
Bush replied, “You’re handling it well and your wife was sweet, by the way.”
After Queen Elizabeth II of September 2022, Peyton shared a photo of herself with Ashley, George and Laura and Elizabeth and Philip from the oval office.
“It was a tribute to her majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” Peyton shared on Instagram. “One I will never forget. His loyalty and service to his country is unmatched! Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth II.”
President Bush joined Peyton and Eli, 44, during the first quarter of the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Las Vegas Railers on Monday night.

When asked if he had been “preparing” for his appearance on the Mannincast, Bursh shrugged, “about 10 minutes.”
“By the way, I’m very happy to see your face and not on commercial TV,” Bursh said to the brothers, referring to the NFL quarterbacks’ many deals.
Peyton laughed and said, “There’s a lot of them out there. And there’s more on the way, I’ll just apologize ahead of time. I’ll just warn you.”
On the football side of things, the former president was called a “disappointing bull season,” but they were able to defeat the Raiders 33-16 on Monday night.
