“It was one of the biggest roles I’ve ever played because there are so many people in the world who have never been credited enough and it was great to play a father,” Gallageher, 70, told Exclusively US of the Week At the Robert F. Kennedy Human rights ‘2025 Ripple of Hope GALA on Tuesday, December 9. “It was a real gift.”
When The OC Watched in August 2003, the youth drama turned into a cast like Mischa Barton, Ben McKenzie, Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody in the big stars.
Although the show ended in 2007 after four seasons, new fans enjoy the FOX series every day through streaming services.
“I’ve had so much going on,” Gallageher said at the New York Hilton when reflecting on her role as Sandy Cohen. “It’s reassuring because people get it all again. It makes me feel better that I’m not completely screwed.”
While most of the cast was spread across the country working on various projects, Gallageher was able to reunite with McKenzie, 47, in October to celebrate opening night. Liberation on Broadway.
“We’ve been in touch, but I haven’t seen him in a couple of years, maybe, but it was just fun,” Gallager told We. “I’m so happy for him. He’s happy. He’s a father. It’s great to see those kids doing so well.”

On Tuesday evening, Gallageher and his wife, Paula Harwoodwent out to the Robert F. Kennedy Human rights’ 2025 Ripple of Hope Gala.

Before celebrating the same honorees Stephen Colbert and Magic JohnsonGallagher took time to honor his wife of more than 40 years.
When asked to share a tip on how to maintain a strong and loving relationship, the actress said, “Don’t give up!”
“I think if you’re lucky and you stick around long enough, there’s a kind of grace that goes along with it all — you know when you’re past your mishegas,” he explained. “But I’m very lucky, I found my life partner this morning.”
Gallagher and Harwood, 70, met as freshmen at Tufts University in a stairwell – they are beautiful and married in 1983 after dating for seven years.
The thought of living without a wife is something Grace and Frankie The actor doesn’t want to think about it.
“We’re both stubborn enough not to quit,” she said. “I think the only way out of this is horizontally.”
