‘No plans’ for immediate Trump-Putin summit in Ukraine, US official says – nationally

Plans will be made for US President Donald Trump to sit down with Russian leader Vladimir Putin to discuss resolving the conflict in Ukraine, a US official said on Tuesday.

The meeting was announced last week. It was supposed to take place in Budapest, although the date was never set.

The decision was made following a phone call between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov had a productive phone call,” the statement said in a statement to world news.

“Therefore, an additional meeting of people between the Secretary and the Minister of Foreign Affairs is not necessary, and there are no plans to meet with President Trump to meet with President Putin in the future.”

The official was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated on Tuesday there was no sense of urgency for Trump and Putin to meet, saying “Preparation is necessary, great preparation.”

Trump tomahawks deal as Zelenskyy pushes for support in White House

The Back-and-Forth Supports of Trump’s Puns are the latest in a whiplash caused by his stalled efforts to resolve the rift that has persisted for nearly four years.

The President of Ukraine Voldymyyr and Mesenskyy and the European leaders who accused Putin of the time of the attack time to continue his attack as there are political efforts. They also said they were against any push to make Kyiv surrender the country taken by Russian forces to restore peace, as Trump has attacked at times.

Zelenskyy noted that Putin went back to talking and was called by Trump last week when it was possible that the US would supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles.

But “as soon as the pressure is a little off, the Russians start trying to throw away the communication rights, postpone the dialogue,” Zelenskyy said on Tuesday in a telegraph post.

“We need to end this war, and only pressure will lead to peace,” he said.

The leaders’ statement was marked by saying that the leaders “are always committed to the goal that international borders should not be changed by force.”

Trump says Putin stopped him from sending tomahawk missiles to Ukraine

Trump last month reversed his long-standing position that Ukraine would have to cede land and suggested that it could get all the territory it had lost to Russia. However, after a phone call with Putin last week and a subsequent meeting with Zelenskyy on Friday, Trump re-established his position and called out the Three Years’ War.

On Sunday, Trump said the industrial Donbas region in eastern Ukraine should be “cut off,” leaving most of it in Russian hands.

Trump said on Monday that while he thought it was possible that Ukraine could eventually defeat Russia, he now doubts it will happen.

Ukrainian and European leaders are trying hard to keep Trump on their side.

“We strongly support President Trump’s position that the war must stop immediately, and that the current line of communication must be the starting point for negotiations,” the statement said.

“We all see that Putin continues to choose violence and destruction.”

Trump’s involvement in the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II has been fueled as he seeks a peace deal.

Trump says the Russian economy is close to collapse, but Putin will not stop the war in Ukraine

Russia occupies about one-fifth of Ukraine, but calling their country to restore peace is not acceptable to the authorities in Kyiv.

Also, the frozen conflict on the front line may simply blossom, with the occupied territories in Ukraine providing Moscow with a springboard for new attacks in the future, Ukrainian and European officials fear.

The statement of the leaders of Ukraine, UK, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, EU officials came early in the morning that it was Zelenskyy who became the church “very active in speaking.”

Many of the international economic consequences of Russia are likely to be discussed at the EU summit in Brussels on Thursday.

“We must maintain pressure on Russia’s economy and its defense sector, until Putin is ready to make peace,” Tuesday’s statement said.

On Friday, a meeting of the United Nations – a group of 35 countries that support Ukraine – is due to take place in London.
