NFL Reporter’s Daughter Breaks Silence After Mother’s ‘Tragic’ Death

The daughter of the Cincinnati Bengals beat the writer Jay Morrison he spoke bitterly after his mother died following a routine medical procedure.

Veda Morrison Reister thanked the Bengals head coach Zac Taylor about his family after it was revealed that his mother, Nicki, had died on Monday, December 22.

“It’s very nice of Zac to send a personal message to my father yesterday morning and even more touching for him to make these comments publicly,” Veda said on Facebook on Tuesday, December 23.

Taylor, 42, addressed Nicki’s death in a press conference on Monday.

“Jay, as you all know, is one of the biggest guys in the business,” Taylor said. “Thoughts and prayers with him and his family and I hate that he has to go through that.

Nicki’s death was announced by Jay, her husband of 37 years, on Monday.

“For the first time in 14 years, I watched a Bengals game with my wife Nicki yesterday,” Jay wrote via X. “It will be the last time. What should have been a routine medical procedure on Friday turned into a disaster.”

He continued, “He has been working on his life since, waiting for a match to receive organs, his last gift to a good life with great sacrifice. We will say our last goodbyes and take him off the machines.”

“My heart is broken, and my world is falling apart,” Jay wrote.

Jay, currently covering the Bengals Sports Illustratedhe told his fans that he was leaving the job “indefinitely.”

“For those who know me and want to pay their respects, there will be no funeral,” Jay wrote. “It’s something we talked about a lot a few months ago when my mother passed away.”

He concluded, “Instead, it will be a celebration of life when my daughter, son and I can pull ourselves together enough to throw a party worthy of the most beautiful, caring, badass rocker chick I’ve had the honor of living with for 37 years.”

Veda married his wife, What are you doing?on May 24, three weeks after Jay and Nicki’s wedding anniversary.

“It was one of the happiest and proudest days of Nicki’s life,” Jay said exclusively Us Weekly on tuesday.

Nicki is also survived by her son, Braden.

Jay shared a video of his late wife’s Honor Walk on social media on Tuesday, which used to be reserved for people in need of medical assistance, who have no chance of survival, as they are wheeled into the operating room to receive organs.

“We said goodbye to Nicki last night the right way, with a hero’s Walk of Honor,” Jay wrote. “I must advise that the video may be difficult to watch, seeing her in that state. But we are sharing it to help raise awareness and promote the noble act of organ donation. True to her selfless spirit and soul to the end, she will be giving people she has never met the best Christmas gifts.”
