Green Bay Packers Star Parsons spent time Friday remembering his former roommate, Marshawn Kneeling, who was tragically killed in an apparent shooting this week.

Authorities have confirmed the 24-year-old man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a chase with police in Texas. The parons talk about the respect they have for the knee.

“Marsuwn’s a guy who loved his anime, he loved his video games as much as anyone else,” Parsons said, according to ESPN. “To me, he always showed me nothing but respect from the moment he entered the game. If you need something as a person. I hope there is someone I can do to give it to someone.”

Parsons also spoke about the stresses on athletes’ health and mental health as it relates to athletes.

“We’d be fools to do what we’re doing and it’s not enough pressure as it is,” Parsons said. “We live in a pressure job where you’re expected to deliver and you’re expected to organize in a certain way, and if you don’t say it, it’s easy to say, you suck. You stink. You hope you die. There are a lot of harsh words and hard things that people say.”

“As athletes, most of us see it – some of us don’t – but we choose to wait until it happens that they do that, but it’s difficult to be human sometimes. They try to get out of that. Sometimes you wish things were different because … Obviously, it was Marmawn who we wish we could have been against, not just to be there for the people involved than the football side.”

The star quarterback said some of his former Dallas Cowboys teammates couldn’t understand the loss of the knee.

“I have people who used to run teams that were destroyed,” said Parsons. “They can’t understand it. Losing a co-worker is like a brother. This is a person – people don’t realize how connected it is, whatever that blood is.” If it happens to be who it is. “

Kneeland was in his second season with the Cowboys after being selected 56th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. He died just days after recording the first NFL Touchdown of the game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.
