New Prosecutor Will Not Pursue Charges Against Trump in Georgia Election Fraud Case

A judge on Wednesday dismissed the Georgia election interference case against US President Donald Trump and others after the prosecutor took over the case and said he would not pursue charges, ending an attempt to prevent his election loss to end his 2020 election efforts.

Pete Skandalakis, Executive Director of the Council of Evangelical Prosecutors of Georgia, took this month last month from Fulton County Attorney Fani Willis, who was removed from “appearing as a special prosecutor and chose to lead the case.

After the Georgia Supreme Court in September refused to hear Willis’ appeal of his disqualification, it fell to the Attorney General’s Council to find a new prosecutor.

During a regular hearing the following month, Willis and Willis were revealed about the most intimate details of their relationship. They said the romance didn’t start until after they were hired and that they split the expenses on vacations and other outings.

The judge admonished Willis for a “great loss of judgment” but did not find a conflict of interest, ruling that he could stay in the case if Wade resigned, which he did after many hours.

Defense attorneys appealed, and the Georgia Court of Appeals removed Willis from the case in December 2024, citing a “possible appearance.” The Federal Supreme Court declined to hear Willi’s appeal.
