MK ZVI SUKKOT was summoned for questioning for his role in arresting rivals of SDE Teiman

SDE Teiman rivals, where protesters and Mkk broke the foundation, appear in March 2024.

MKKVVI SUKKOT (Zionist Religious Land) was summoned for questioning by the Israeli police on Sunday for his involvement in SDE Teiman Royars, more than a year after the settlement of the military zone.

The hearing will take place on November 11. Sukkot’s team members have confirmed that he will “show up.”

SDE Teiman is a military base in the Negev that was turned into a settlement between Israel – the war, held by the Palestinians in Gaza under martial law, which allows temporary detention without a court order.

The law gives authorities the power to detain people who participate in Israel but do not qualify as prisoners of war under the Geneva Conventions. Originally it meant some security charges, it has since become a legal framework for arresting Palestinians from Gaza without trial or trial, especially during wartime.

Under the amendment, dated 2023, without a formal order it can last 45 days, and without judicial review 75 days. The law allows TheIDF Chief of Staff (or his delegates) to issue Orncrents Orders based on “Reasonable Grounds” and he thinks that the release of the Detainee will endanger national security.

Human rights groups, as well as international legal experts, have criticized the law for making arbitrary arrests and weakening due process protections, which they say violates Israel’s obligations under domestic and international law.

Beatings, Very Good Views, and lack of medical attention

In SDE Teiman, allegations of serious abuse from the seat later. Reports in various outlets described beatings, long reporting periods, lack of medical care, and other ill-treatment of detainees. Human Rights groups say the conditions violated both Israeli and international law.

Last September, the Supreme Court of Justice ordered the State to improve conditions and bring Sde Teiman under the law.

A few months before July 29, 2024, the military police arrested nine Reservists who were accused of abusing Palestine. Detainee had serious internal injuries, including broken ribs and rectal lacerations, according to reports.

The arrests sparked protests by far-right activists, soldiers’ families, and several lawmakers, who said the soldiers were being punished for doing their job. Demonstrators gathered at the SDE Teiman base and later at Beit LID, where the suspects were being held.

Some parted through the gates of military equipment; Among them were law enforcement officials, including Minister of Finance Amichai Eliyahu (Otzma Yehudit) and Likud mk Nissim Vaturi.

The protests were condemned by Defense Minister Yoav Gallint, the military chief and legal officials, who called the events dangerous and illegal. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also condemned the violence.

One month later, in August 2024, five reservists were charged with sexual assault, and later found guilty and sentenced under the charge of solicitation.

The Supreme Court continues to review the legal status of SDE Teiman, including Israel’s decision to block red access to detainees. This facility remains operational but has been inspected.
