“I feel so touched and proud to know so many people that inspired his time here on earth. I plan to keep his legacy going not only for him but his family,” Jessica wrote. “He’s given everybody so much about himself so it’s my chance to give it back. I’m not sure what that looks like but hopefully he’ll lead me down that path.”

He added, “Thank you to everyone who reached out. The love of the opening has given me the driving force in a dynamic community.

Jessica explained that she was still grieving the loss of Michael, who died on November 8, three days after the couple celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. (The couple shares a 6-year-old daughter, Oakley.)

“I am still facing the fact that he is no longer with us, but he is beginning to see that his purpose is much greater. I am beginning to see that God works in mysterious ways that they would not have seen before and hope that it will bring peace to our family,” he continues.

Jessica continued to hear that the funeral arrangements are not complete and urged people not to spread false narratives surrounding Michael’s death.

She concluded the post, “Mike, I’m proud to be your wife and I will carry that title with pride for the rest of my life. See you on the other side, daddy ❤️”

Jessica had been sharing her heart to her late husband on Instagram on Sunday, November 9 after the sad news.

“It’s been 24 hours since my world arrived. I’m angry, depressed. I never thought I’d be writing this,” she wrote. “To the world you were food to them but to us you were a loving husband and father. You don’t deserve to love you forever and I can pray for him forever and please pray for our family.”

Duarte’s Talent Agency, Alooma Media Group, posted a statement on Michael’s death via Instagram that day.
