TEPID and the Partisan domestic neck in the open sexual assault of the President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum reveals how common violence has become in the country, according to experts.

Sheinbaum said Thursday that he had sent a letter to Mexico City’s World attorney on Wednesday detailing the criminal complaint against the man, identified as Uriel Rivera Martinez, 33.

A widely circulated cell phone-based video showed the leading man trying to hug Sheinbaum as he walked from the National Palace to the Ministry of Education.

In Canada, an incident like this may be investigated as sexual harassment because it involves unwanted sexual touching and compliments.

While the incident made international headlines, it played out like a second story at home. It was largely constructed as a failure of Sheinbaum’s security, which allowed someone to touch the President’s days after the high-profile assassination of Carlos Manzo, a well-known Mayor in the agricultural country of Michoacán.

“It shows how common gender violence we have in this country, and that eto be a child [when] We have strong evidence of street harassment and torture on him The president of the country, we reduce its effects, “said Amris Chaparro Martínez, director and researcher and center to research with Turence University University of Mexico.

“That kind of reflects the attitude in this country that we often have about issues related to women.”

During the Shinbaum Conference of Jaren Morning Cress, the Secretary of Hirerva Citelalli Hernández Mora, the secretary of women, said that there is an investigation of the open consent currently including violence against women.

Sheinbaum and Hernández Mora also announced that they will launch a program on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to strengthen the institutional response to this type of violence throughout the country.

“What we want to capture in the law … is that women have the space to make complaints that are fast, that are done and allow for real investigations that will lead to prisons,” Sheinbaum said.

‘Light the Way’

When he saw the video of the incident, Chacarro Martínez said he realized that even the President of the country is not safe from harassment in public spaces because she is a woman.

“No one is asking, ‘Why are people harassing women in 2025?’ They say the person was on drugs or that he was drunk, but that is no excuse,” he said.

Local reports said that he was drunk during the incident.

Estefania Vela Barra, Executive Director of the Women’s Human Rights Organization based in Mexico City, said that the gender violence present in the incident against Sheinbaum has been distorted and diluted by the political polarization in the country.

Comments were circulated on social media sources asking if the event was planned to change the station in the immediate political pain caused by the killing of Manzo, which saw the explosion of violent protests in the home state of MichoaChan.

“Oh, no, even if it’s on video and it happens to the President, he will believe it,” said Vela Barra.

“For me, what I have seen is what millions of women live every day.”

Vela Barba said that the way Sheinaum immediately dealt with this incident, in the head, during Friday’s press conference, was praised, explaining what happened to him and saying that he wanted to answer through the justice system.

“It was really important for him to clarify this incident to give us visibility, that this is a problem,” said Vela Barra.

“Seeing the President himself likes it, gives us light on the way. I found it empowering that the President criticized this law.”
