A lawsuit was filed Thursday against the federal government on behalf of immigrants who face fines of up to $1.8 million each for being in the US illegally.

Daily fines of $998 have been imposed on more than 21,500 immigrants, whose lawyers say they are trying to follow federal immigration laws. Penalties were imposed to encourage immigrants to leave the country.

The lawyers said that their clients were killed by a “disaster penalty” that lost the limits on gravity “for any violation of the roads, arguing that the penalty is not in accordance with the Constitution.

The lawsuit, filed in Massachusetts on behalf of two immigrant women, seeks class-action status to represent people facing fines that lawyers say are $6 billion under President Donald Trump’s Mass Repothetion

“The people we serve are doing exactly what the law requires – pursuing legal relief through immigration courts and immigration agencies,” Hasan Shafiqo, an immigration attorney, told Immigration. “By returning, the government threatens to arrest them, their cars, and even their houses.”

One of the two plaintiffs, a woman living in Florida identified in the photo only as Nancy M. to protect her in the US, but also met her every year of migration as she tried to become a permanent resident.

Despite this, he received a fine earlier this year for about $ 1.8 million, which seems to be achieved by daily fines of $ 998 in the last five years.

Herakhaya Setloft’s department intends that the case was “just another attempt to destroy the federal immigration law by using aithists.”

“The plaintiffs in this case are here illegally and are expected to remain in the country illegally with no consequence or penalty for years —” DHS spokeswoman Tricia Mclaudin said in a statement.

Shortly after Trump returned to the White House in January, his administration revealed a series of incentives for immigrants to leave the country, including the declaration of DEFRICE SUPPTION “if they choose not to take out the financial penalty” if they choose not to take them out.

Trump and Gov. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem “He has a clear message for those in our country illegally: leave now,” McLauklin said in February.

“The Trump administration will implement all of our immigration laws — we will not pick and choose which laws to implement,” he added at the time.
