Kylie Kelce opens its chest by bringing him again Jason Kelceuncle’s daughters to see uncle Travis Kelce play at Arrowhead Stadium for the first time.
“The girls haven’t seen Uncle Trav play at Arrowhead Stadium,” Kylie, 33, said on the Thursday, Dec. 18, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, joking that she had “some business” at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers that weekend.
Kylie and Jason, 38, share Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 8 months. The toddlers were spotted with their parents at a gym in Kansas City on Sunday, December 14, along with Travis’ fiancee, Taylor Swift. In photos shared on social media, Swift, 36, was seen playing with children during the game.
Although her older daughters saw Travis and the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in 2023 — beating Jason and the Philadelphia Eagles — Kylie said it was a “really sweet moment” for the girls to see their uncle on home field.
“It was also very exciting to see friends and family who were there, because the girls were very happy to watch the game with everyone,” continued Kylie.
The actual game, however, was less exciting for the kids. “They don’t really care about football, to be honest with you,” Kylie joked. “They actually scream at us whenever we try to put the ball on the screen and they get on the board after a while realizing they can scream freely. Finnie slept for, like, an hour and a half there, so he’s a real person. He slept through all the screaming and cheering, which is fun for me.”
Although Sunday’s game was a good opportunity to bond with the Kelce family, the Chiefs faced brutality at quarterback. Patrick Mahomes he was injured. He was officially diagnosed with an ACL tear, the team announced on Monday, December 15, that he had “successful surgery” and will begin rehabilitation “immediately.”
The Chiefs ended up losing to the Chargers 16-13, ending their hopes of entering the finals this season. Travis, 36, spoke candidly about the upset on the Wednesday, Dec. 17, episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
“We have three games left, I know we are still talking about this game, but the integrity of who you are as a professional player, you have to love this player. And Chiefs Kingdom, we will give you everything we have. There is no question about that,” he said. “There’s only one way I can do things, there’s only one way coach Reid does things, and if we’re going to go out and play football, we’re going to do it the right way and continue to try to fix these things and finish on the highest note we can.”
Travis, who is in his 13th NFL season, emphasized that it is a “privilege” to play at the professional level. “I’ll tell you what, man, if there’s a game to play, I’m going to go out there and I’m going to love to play in it, whether it’s a playoff game or a playoff game or a game that, you know, doesn’t seem to have an impact on that.
Despite the disappointing result, Travis had family by his side on Sunday. Both she and Swift have spoken at length about spending time with Kylie, Jason and their daughters.
During her podcast on Thursday, Kylie marveled at how Travis embraced her “professional” role.
“He will do whatever he can [the kids] happy,” she said. She will dance until he tells her to stop. That’s all.”
