Keith Urban Performs New Year’s Eve Nashville Bash Amid Divorce

Keith Urban no doubt he had a rough year, but he went out on a high note on New Year’s Eve.

The country singer, 58, performed fun renditions of his hit single “Straight Line” and New Radicals’ “You Get What You Give” during the session. Urban sported a black shirt and black jeans while belting out lyrics from “Straight Line” like, “I don’t buy this life should be such a mother / Because we found everything when we found each other / You and I were like summer all year long/ Let’s go back/ Oh, hit the gas.”

The live New Year’s Eve special — airing on CBS and Paramount+ — is hosted by the comedian Bert Kreischer and country music star Hardy and reveal more functionality by Jason Aldean, Lainey Wilson, Bailey ZimmermanBrooks and Dunn, Dwight Yoakam and more.

Urban’s New Year’s Eve tour comes after three months of separation from his estranged wife Nicole Kidman made headlines in September. One day after the news broke, she filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation. The couple have been married for nearly 20 years and have daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 15.

“They have been separated amicably now but they need time to find out if they are really going to divorce,” said the source. Us Weekly in October. “He had faith that they could fix it.”

According to an inside source, Urban pulled the plug on his marriage to Kidman, 58.

She didn’t tell many of her friends what was happening to them and she has been holding it for months.

Although Urban and Kidman once seemed like a perfect couple, they actually spent “a lot of time apart due to work commitments” and led “separate lives” behind the scenes.

“Nicole and Keith weren’t on the same page,” the insider said Us. “Rumors around town have been swirling that they were living apart, that they were focusing on their careers and that Keith had moved on. They’re going in two different directions, and their worlds aren’t the same as they used to be. The distance between them has become more apparent lately.”
