Keanu wants to thank agents who recovered his stolen rolex in ‘John Wick’

When thieves break into John Wick’s home, Mayhem and long retribution. But the theft from the home of Keanu returns, the actor included in that movie franchise, led to the return of the law of his right amount followed by respect, written personally that he sees the Film Star.

It turns out that Reeves, 61, was among the victims of a ring of foreigners who traveled to the United States to break into homes in wealthy neighborhoods before returning home on expensive trips.

Heevs Home’ was broken into sometime in 2023 and thieves made off with millions of dollars in items. Among the items stolen were six valuable watches, including one with “John Wick” lettering on the back, according to the FBI.

At the beginning of the year, special investigators in Chile – where other theft rings have appeared – targeted in the east of Santiago in the East of Eastern Santiago which must be after domestic disturbances and home attacks from time to time. In a joint operation between the FBI and Chilean police, authorities executed search warrants at the homes of suspected members of the gang and found property belonging to Reevs and another person.

Reeves brought back six watches valued at about $125,000 in August during a meeting in New York by finding watch after watch in photos. But in many ways, because of their attachments, they had the greatest value to the star.

Reeves gave a handwritten letter to the FBI, offering “great gratitude and appreciation,” including the FBI’s Los Angeles field office, and the Fiscalì de Instigaciones (PDI) Ciscalì Office).

“Thank you so much for all your efforts, dedication, professionalism and cooperation at the border. My warmest regards, Keanu.”

Authorities say Reeves’ home and another man whose belongings were found were victims of a South American ring, which FBI investigators say targeted homes across the United States.

In the past few years, Southern California communities have become a favorite target. Chilean police recovered stolen items during a visit by Homeland Security Secretary Kristiti Noem in July.

During the investigation, law enforcement sources confirmed that the Chilean police returned the cell phone containing the photo taken in the United States. The photo shows a john wick submariner, a gun, and the actor’s driver’s license, suggesting it was taken during a burglary.

Theft groups have targeted celebrities’ and athletes’ homes and have since expanded into sophisticated night – night shops, jewelry stores and high-end retailers. Chilean gangs are known to conduct surveillance and use technological tools to carry out their thefts. Tourists from South America even received help from a fake car rental business that not only provided them with high-speed cars to enter well-kept places without being seen, but also pointed out their targets and had their belongings stolen, according to the FBI.

“This case is a perfect example of the good international cooperation we enjoy with our partners in Chile and our local partners in the Los Angeles Police Department,” said Akil Davis, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles office.

Shortly after Reeves turned back his clocks, the international law enforcement team met another victim, Eric Lorscheider, who had all the scars on March 31, 2023.

During the burglary, the South American Theft Gang made off with a lot of jewelry, including a class ring from his alma mater, Duke University. Additional items that Lorscheider, who is now retired, from his time serving on the high seas were stolen and never found.

“This case emphasizes how crime today knows no borders, and how our international relations are cooperating with justice and the victims here in Los Angeles,” said a strong message that organizes groups where it works. “

While the FBI and lapd have not put a price on the 2023 burglary, Chile’s top law enforcement officials estimate the loss to be in the millions.

“This operation shows our continued commitment to the pursuit of organized crime,” Eduardo Center Lozano, director general of the Policía de Instivacaciones de Chile, said in a statement. “International cooperation is essential in dealing with these types of borderless threats.”

Investigators say thieves often use Parcel Post or couriers to send their ill-gotten gains back to Chile. They exploit the visa system charged by the tax payers making it very easy for Chileans to enter the country as tourists without the verification of this background of their country. When in America in the United States, the police say, they plan to organize and sometimes put up fences before sending the money they get home.

Lapd Hee Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton warned that it is difficult to know for sure how many wakes can be seen from foreign burglars. Still, he said, the evidence shows they are behind the cutoff scores.
