Kamala Harris says the Democrats have taken away Black Women Voters

Former Vice President Kamala Harris said the Democratic Party “took black women for granted” during the 2024 election.
During an appearance Sunday on the “last meeting” podcast, Harris was asked if he felt any tension between the black campaign and his “own” campaign.
Harris noted that she wrote about this issue in her book, “Ten 107 Days,” and suggested that her party did not care about issues affecting black women during the campaign.

“I think the Democratic Party has taken black women for granted,” Harris said. “There are certain issues that affect black women in America that should be one of the priorities. I made them priorities when I didn’t mention the death of black people.”
He continued, “Most of the things that I didn’t know about the election included that, are we going to inform you, let’s make scientific care happen, and support what’s happening with the money” by the “woman” or the “black” in it. “

Harris added that more research is needed on fibroids, which are more likely to occur in black women.

“I will never try to leave who I am, and I will never feel burdened that because of who I am in terms of my race and what I have to pretend to be,” Harris said.

Harris’ book was released in late September and chronicled his short historic campaign until he lost to President Donald Trump. A national book tour has already begun to promote its release.

In his letter, Harris accused major Democratic figures, including members of the Biden Administration, of failing to support him during the campaign.

“Their thinking was zero-sum: If it’s shiny, it’s thin,” Harris wrote of the bidding team. “None of them held that if I did well, he did well. That gave concern to his judgment in choosing me and assurance that if something happened, my team was important.”
