Jordan’s love, Tucker Kraft packs drive to win over the steelers

Tucker Kraft was eating well Sunday night as he and Jordan Love led the Green Bay Packers to a 35-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Love and Kraft met early and often. The first connection came in the first quarter when Love found the tight end of a 16-yard pass to cap a play-by-play drive at 67.

The Steelers were stymied by Chris Bosell’s Field Fielf Kiad Kiad Kick and Aaron Rodger Touchdown Pass to DK MetCalf. Pittsburgh took a 16-7 lead into the half. Love came back and forth and never missed a beat.

Love threw another touchdown pass to Kraft and a third to Red Williams to put the Packers back in front. Josh Jacobs scored in the fourth quarter from three yards out. When the Packers took the lead, the defense never did.

Rodgers entered the game making sure he didn’t play the first game of his career against a team that selected him in the first round of the NFL Draft. He looked back fondly on his time with the Raiders during the week leading up to the game.

He may have wished things went slower.

There are times when Rodgers just shows that he is 41 years old. He made some terrific saves on MetaCalf and Roman Wilson for points on the night and even managed to get a tactical punch with a Touchdown interference call.

But there were also times when he worried about teammates. He was pressured all night by linebackers Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary and the offense didn’t play much of a role. He wanted to become the fifth quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams in a career.

Some of the main players of the steelers were boiled in the field. During the Steers kickoff, Pittsburgh’s Ben Skowronek was double-teamed by two Packers players. Nick Herbig came to Skowronek’s defense and pushed Bo Melton to the ground. There was a brief moment in which we saw two officers caught in it.

Later, MetCalf was separated from the pockets of linebacker Quay Walker. The Wide Overiver placed his fingers on Walker’s facemask. He was called out for unnecessary roughness and made fun of the Steelers offense.

Green Bay will return home and improve to 5-1-1. The Steeters fall to 4-3, which will tighten the AFC North race as the MidY point of the season approaches.

Love completed 29-of-37 with 360 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Kraft had seven catches for 143 yards and two scores.

Rodgers was 24-of-36 with two rushing touchdowns and 219 yards passing. Wilson and Metcalf each had touchdowns.
