Jon Voight is sounding the alarm about New York City’s political leadership.
The Oscar-winning actor released a video message this week to accuse the Mayor – elected Zohran Mamdani of putting a serious threat on the future of the largest city in the country, and warning that only President Donald Trump could stop this project. “
In this video posted on X, Vioight said that Mamdani is “bringing down the city that never sleeps,” warning that New York “will turn into a forbidden place of darkness.”

“This mayor will destroy this city,” he said.
“We have a responsibility to demand our rights, our sanctuary, our businesses that we have all worked so hard for – and this 35-year-old mayor has no right to receive social laws that work in brick and mortar in another country. This must be stopped immediately.”
In all his words, Vioight urged the residents to go back to the Mayor – the elected, which they characterized as a threat to the values based in the city.

“You, the people of the greatest city of all, New York, are in danger of losing your city to this communist fool. We, the nation, be blue – and justice for all,” he said.

Voight added, “this country, the United States of America, is our most successful country – the American dream.”
He went on to say that the American people “put our trust in the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump,” who, “he,” “he,” “he,” “he,” “he, he, too, can block this New York economy and turn it into a Socialist treasure.”

Vioight concluded his message: “Let it be a warning to people – and may God bless. May God bless.”

Mamdani won the election for New York City Mayor on November 4, defeating incumbent Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.
Voight’s comments come as celebrities and political commentators remain divided on New York City’s Aport.

Nixon shared photos of himself with Mamdani with the caption, “I love this guy so much! He’s a natural wonder and I’ve followed him to the ends of the earth (and I almost did!).”
