A broken jaw doesn’t seem to be a problem Jake Paul.

The boxer-turned-YouTuber, suffered a knockout loss for the first time in his young boxing career in a highly-anticipated bout with Anthony Joshua on Friday, December 19, he broke his jaw in not one but two places during a game at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Paul is in the hospital because of his injuries, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to post on social media.

In a video posted on Instagram, Paul, 28, can be seen lying in a hospital bed with his brother, Loganstanding next to him.

“Broken guys thank you for supporting me I’m okay,” read the caption, along with a slapping emoji.

He also submitted an X-ray of his broken jaw, which shows that there were actually two breaks when he was hit by Joshua. He also called out his new potential enemy, Canelo Alvarezhe said he is fighting in about a week and a half.

“Double broken jaw,” Paul captioned the photo. “Give me Canelo in 10 days.”

Paul said in November that he had planned a fight with Alvarez, but that fight fell through and the two never faced each other in the ring.

Shortly after Friday’s match, Paul posted a video from the ring, showing a close-up of his broken jaw where you can see the side of his mouth caved in. Despite the gruesome situation, Paul didn’t seem worried about the injury.

“Good, isn’t it?” he wrote in the video.

Friday’s match was the second loss of Paul’s boxing career, and despite ending the night on the canvas, Paul appeared to be in good spirits after the fight.

“I feel good. That was fun. I love this game,” he said, according to multiple media reports. “I’ve had a hard time, but that’s what this game is all about.

He continued, “Man, I’ve been successful in every way in life. This game has helped me in every way … I think my jaw is broken, by the way.”

Joshua, 32, praised Paul in his post-match interview.

“Jake Paul has done very well and he deserves what he has. It takes a real man to do that and he deserves credit for trying and trying,” Joshua said. “It takes a real man to do that. We have to give Jake Paul respect.”

Joshua added, “He’s up for a real fight tonight.”

The former WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight champion came into this fight with a bigger advantage than Paul, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 252 pounds, compared to Paul’s 6-foot-1, 227 pounds.

Their encounter took place six rounds before Joshua’s decision: a right hook landed on Paul’s jaw, sending him to the mat.

Just before the beating, Paul tried to mock Joshua by sticking out his tongue. Joshua had the last word after that.
