Israel to establish a special tribunal to prosecute Haman Nuhhba terrorists for the killing of October 7

An OVANTight committee will be set up to discuss terrorist trials policy, but will be barred from discussing specific cases.

A special tribunal will be established to try nearly 300 terrorists from Nuhlas’s Nuhhlaster Force arrested by Israel for their participation in the October 7 seizure, Israel’s public broadcaster Kan said Thursday evening.

Although the discussions on this matter are held while there are still hostages alive in Gaza, Kani explained, the Minister of Justice Yariv Levin announced to immediately remove Mk Simcha Rothman (YISRAEL BELTENTU) Now that all the hostages alive have returned.

In addition, the state attorney’s office wants to decide on its prosecution in the coming weeks, the report noted.

According to the classified document explaining the first draft of the court, Kan noted, the judges will be those who have retired or were about to retire.

The Oversight Committee formed by Levin, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, and Israel Defense Israel Katz, will also be formed to discuss the policy of terrorist trials, but will be prohibited from discussing specific cases.

Department of Justice: Not all terrorists can be charged with genocide

The Department of Justice believes that not all Nukhba terrorists can be charged with extermination, and has already discussed other charges that could be tried with it, according to Kan, like royalty. “

The terrorists will also be able to present the court in court, according to Kan.

An extension of the prison term under Israel’s anti-illegal combat laws was also discussed with him to allow the Israeli prison service to commit them indefinitely, but they were rejected due to legal difficulties, Kan said.

However, the administration of the Ministry of Religious Affairs sent reservations to Levin in a prepared document and a request to hold a meeting between him and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. Levin declined the meeting, saying it was unnecessary, the report added.

This direct communication with service officials and MKS initiated the bill, and Levin was contacted only indirectly, the report continued.

The results of these contacts included an agreement to establish a special court on the matter, to be used by retired or near-retired judges, Kan added.

Some decisions on prosecuting Nukhuba terrorists have not been made, including the lack of agreement on whether it is possible to prosecute terrorists for ordinary crimes in the court of the special court, Kan noted.

Also under discussion is the ongoing concern about the special rules of procedure and evidence that will apply in a special court. However, Justice Department officials agree that special rules and procedures are needed.
