Los Antemeles Landlords may be required to maintain cool hiring units – or at least making employers do that.
County administrators pass a law that requires landowners in houses that do not hold their degrees to save 82 degrees or less. Average presented on Wednesday at Los Angeles City City guiding officials from being uniform language.
That comes as climate change changes reach the frequency and size of temperatures. Excessive heat has killed many people in the United States each year than any climate-related event, according to the National Weather service.
Heat in the house above 82 degrees are linked to higher emergency, hospitals and death, according to the release of the matters of the courtebombomembersbers and hernandez, presenting the ratio and council Adria Nanye.
“It is a health problem, the first time and the most important,” said Nazarian, which revealed that extreme heat effects were severely measured in the vulnerable people. Old citizens are very inclined to death from heat or related shape, he said. Nor poor people are likely to live in the growing facilities without the Duct or spiritual units. “It is important that we take action to protect our residents.”
The California Department of Housing East of this year urged legislators to use 82 degree high temperature. The State Act is already required for employment units to enter the unit that can burn at least 70 degrees.
“Why should cool be different?” Asked Blumenfield, representing the most hot part of the city – his 3rd district includes most of Lehlestanda San Fernando Valley. Last year Woodundland Hills, where Blumenfield has returned, beat 121 degrees – the highest temperature was written in Los Angeles. “We always have heat strokes and all kinds of health-related issues take place when they really are hot,” he said.
The purpose of the proposed ratio is to be the County Regulations as possible, including arrangements that provide fluctuations to small landowners, Blumenfield said. For example, County laws allow landowners with 10 or fewer units to fulfill a single room temperature until 2832. And while the law begins to work this month, it will not be forced until 2027.
The estimate will take the draft period and heard various committees but have been successful before the full Council in the case of the months, Blumenfield said.
When passing, Los Angeles will join the growing cities of the urban temperature. In Phoenix, the units of the air must be able to keep the temperature of 82 degrees or less. In Clark County, Nev., Units must be able to stay 85 or cool. In Palm Springs, units need to be a spiritual condition and can keep 80 degrees. Dallas needs landowners to keep the buildings 15 cooler than external heat but not more than 85 degrees, and new orleans require the high temperatures to all 80 degrees in all bedrooms.
Apartment anssn. Morder Los Angeles opposed the average, he said it would carry housing costs and eventually lead to high taxes.
It is difficult to maintain a unit of 82 degrees without using Air Conditioner, which may require the development of electrical lenders – and may need to improve the debts of buildings, according to Daniel Yukelson, the Great Manager.
“Any cooling device will not succeed if it is too expensive to work because employees cannot afford to electric,” wrote by email. “It’s like a manufacture of highly high-partial partnership to keep a patient remember.”
Yukelson also questioned whether the electronic thrid would resume the additional burden, saying customers have already been considered browslouts and summer brownouts.
Nazariar and Blumenfieleld all bad to receive the law requires no air conditioning, and the units are cooled by other interventions, including cool technology on the roof and the ordination of Windows. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and provides discounts to help certain customers purchase Air Conditioners, in Nazaria.
Grace Hut, Director of Rights Rights Directorgrate Strategic Planning Employment Party, said his organization has spoken to many levels of householders who have refused in spiritistic units. While he understood concern about the prices of use, employers finally want to be able to choose whether or opening the air conditioner and promising high electricity costs, he said.
“In the days of excessive heat, air access can be a matter of life and death, and there should be a choice to use it,” he said.
The City should also provide resources to enforce the laws of enhancing temperature and helping employers pay their debts to reduce the burden, add.
“Climate change will continue to continue to grow this issue so it is very important to take immediate action,” he said.
Last year was the warmer of a record worldwide, and temperatures were said to continue up. In 2022, periodic evaluation occasions that the temperature was due to 3,900 people in California 10 years ago – six times offering in an emergency lack.
