Hamas Sholomba survived 491 days in the tunnels of Gazaza, asking 48 in the exceeded

Two years ago, in Oct. 7, 2023, I was kidnapped at my home at Kibbutz Beeri on my pajamas by Homas guerrillas. My wife, my wife, was ripped to our lives and dragged Gaza. I was released on February 2025 after 491 days in exile, but 48 kidnappers sat in the hands of Hamas. My night is not over. It won’t be more until all they come home.

And now, finally, there is hope. President Donald Trump has submitted a historic agreement to bring all 48 guests home – the living and deceased – to end this battle, to eliminate the suffering of our people. After so much pain, we eventually have a real opportunity.

But that hope comes to fear. We have seen opportunities in the past. The agreement is not signed yet. I know what is in danger. I know what the pilots are enduring because I was living.

Two years after the mother attacks our homes, killing hundreds of innocent people, and kidnapped men, women, children, and people. That morning starts as one. At the end of the day, Raz and I were kidnapping.

When the RAz has been released on November 2023, I thought maybe my turn would come soon. Instead, I was taken to the tunnels – 30 meters underground, in completely dark, without air, nowhere, no life. This was my life over a year.

I didn’t be alone down there. I was arrested for five other kidnapped: Elkana Bohbot, Maksym Harkun, Seg Kalkon, Yosef Ohanese, and Bar in Pershtein. They had sons in me, and I became their own. We needed each other to survive. Six of us share the 3rd cell. Sam hung with our empty hands in a pit to make places sleep. All requests from our captors need long conversations between us because the results were difficult. Ask the pita bread and reject? They would beat us. Prevent us to ask for anything for two weeks. So we carefully recorded, everybody had a Word, and we voted.

I was afraid of my life every one day. Hamas has clearly told us: If the IDF is close, they will shoot us in the empty number. At one point, terrorists compel me to decide which captors to find a bullet and what was on the knee. For many hours, they made us asking our lives, trembling and cried. On the 270th of terrorists appear and hit us three days straight. One guard told me, “I hate you. If they commanded me to kill you, I would not use a gun. I will use a knife.” In time, we began to lose hope. That’s where the survival is almost impossible. What gave me strength was to see our people find us.

I was released on February 2025. I had lost 77 pounds. In those early days of liberty, everything was the things that were not of the truth. But only one second: I had a great honor to meet the President Trump, a man who saved me, made me again and again, re-contact with my wife and my daughters. He has revealed his unparent commitment to bring all a kidnapping home. I thank him for my freedom and with never stopped those kidnapped. If a person fits the Nobel Peace Prize prize, he is, for all of us has done it for us and continue fighting to make sure that all the Government returns home.

But freedom does not mean that the night has passed away. I’m still waking up at night touching the walls, looking for concrete, that I’m not in the paths. But I remember – they still exist. When I open the refrigerator and take food, I think there is nothing empty.

The cruel video of the Propaklanda issued by Hamas last month, Elkana and Josef spoke directly to me, asked me to do everything I couldn’t get on hell. Until all 48 kidnappers come out – the living and deceased – I can’t continue my life.

From the release, I have seen many conversations coming away. In this case it has to happen. The earth must ensure that this operation comes to fight. I know better than any of the cost of the rest of the additional date in exile. They will not do it when it is long. My friends will not do it there for a long time. I lived in 491 days of a Christby’s home. I know exactly what every hour is added to the underground.

The release of all 48 kidnappers must come first. The world is watching. Every day are important. Every hour is counted.
