Food influencer Michael Duarte shot by police before death: Report

More information has been released on what is reported to have transpired within the Influence Michael Duarte and the police before his death earlier this month.

Duarte – who is known online as @FFoodwoodwothbearhands – was reportedly shot by police on Saturday, November 8, in Castroville, Texas, after the Medina County Sheriff’s Office said TMZ Wednesday, November 12.

The Sheriff’s office told the outlet that Texas police received a call “about” the story of men with a knife acting inappropriately, “which later became known as durte.

While at the scene, Duarte reportedly approached the responding Deputy in a threatening manner. After “many oral commands” were given to the food penis “to go into the ground,” it was allegedly “taken out” said the Deputy.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office says Duarte yelled, “I’m going to kill you,” as he lunged at one of the officers, who then fired two rounds from their weapon and struck him, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Duarte was reportedly treated at the scene before being transported to a university hospital in San Antonio, Texas, where he was pronounced dead.

News broke Wednesday that Duarte, who drove more than 2 million followers on social media with his food videos, died Saturday after a “horrific incident.”

Duarte died in Texas just three days after celebrating his ninth wedding anniversary with wife Jessica. The couple shares a 6-year-old daughter, oakley.

On Wednesday, the page said the funeral plans for Duarte were not final “but there will be updates to follow.

“The family is deeply grateful for your love and support as they grieve this tragic loss,” the fundraising page said.

Last month, Duarte offered insight into how he became a foodie after growing up at his Mexican restaurant in California. He recalled working in different places throughout his 20s but during the coronavirus pandemic he had a ‘mental health problem’ which led him to rehab.

When he got out of the treatment center, Duarte said he started working at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and as the industry began to rebuild after the closing of Coving so.

“During my days off, I started posting food videos – My first one was with my daughter,” said Duarte on October 25. “That’s when I realized that creating joy made me just a hobby.”
