FEDS CHURCH 12 Accused of allegedly killing a protester accused of immigration protests

Federal prosecutors announced charges Wednesday against 12 people accused of violence during demonstrations against legal immigration policies.

The cases, part of the effort called “Bridge Operation called Federal Bridges” by the Federal authorities, are mainly focused on demonstrations that pass near the detention center near Downtown Los Angeles in the city 8, the first day the national guard was sent to the city.

What began as a small, peaceful protest at Alameda Start exploded into a series of clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement. After members of the national guard and the US Department of Homeland Security used tear gas and tissues to try and disperse the crowd outside the detention center, many protesters filled the area.

Several self-driving cars caught fire near Olivera Street, and a group of California Highway Patrol officers on the 101 freeway were pelted with objects from above. From time to time, they returned fire in several cycles and released gas. At least one protester was fined in Federal Court for throwing an incendiary object at a CHP vehicle from the Overpass.

Authorities announced that 10 defendants charged in connection with the incident were in federal custody this week. One is in federal custody and is expected to be turned over to federal authorities, and one remains at large.

Among those charged in connection with the June 8 protest are Ronald Alexis Coleas, 23, of Westlake; Junior Roldan, 27, of Hollywood; Elmore Sylvestor Cage, 34, of Downtown Los Angeles; Balto Motion, 24, of Watsonville; Jesus Gonzalez Hernandez Jr., 22, Las Vegas; Hector Damiel Ramos, 66, of Alhambra; Stefano Deong, 34, of Westmont; Yachua Mauricio Flores, 23, of Lincoln Heights; And Ismael Vega, 41, of Westlake.

Prosecutors also charged Virginia Reyes, 32, and Isai Carrillo, 31, who they say are members of “vc defensela,” an immigrant rights group documented in attacks in the region.

Yovany Marcario Canil, 22, of Boyle Heights, was charged with assault by an officer of the members of the Pepper-spray FBI Swat team that left the attack site in Duni 6.

“The acts of violence against those who have the courage to enforce the law that protects us are an attack on civilized society itself,” atty. Gen. Pam Bondi said in a news release. “Anyone who engages in such despicable behavior will face serious consequences in this department of justice.”

The FBI has offered up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of other unidentified people suspected of involvement in similar attacks.

“A group of violent protesters threw rocks, pieces of concrete, electric scooters, and fire extinguishers at positions and vehicles moving” along the highway, the FBI said.

Bill Essayli, the top federal prosecutor for the Central District of California, quickly accelerated the charges against those who violated the anti-terror law of the past few months. On Wednesday, Essayli said his office had charged 97 people with assaults or assaults on officers.

Of those, Essayli said, 18 have pleaded guilty and 44 are set to go to court. His Office took two defendants from misdemeanor raiding teams to trial, but both ended up being found out.

At the beginning of the year, the times of investigating the times that found the promoters of Essayli failed to convince the good lords to protect the decisions in many cases related to the protest.

Prosecutors face a lower bar before a Grand Jury than they do in a criminal case, and experts say federal prosecutors rarely lose in that case. Prosecutors in Chicago and Washington have faced similar battles, court records show.

The defendants who pleaded guilty in La include a 23-year-old teenager who threw Molotov cocktails at La County Sheriff’s deputies during a June Rally against Fiat Enforcement.
