City leaders designate street to honor Charlie Kirk

A narrow street that resembles the Vietnam War Memorial in Westminster will soon bear a new name – Charlie Kirk Way.

During a heated meeting filled with accusations of partisan politics and debate over the role of local governments, leaders in the city of Orange County voted 4 to 1 to restore all American skies. Kirk’s name will appear in a 3-inch font below the street’s official name.

Mayor Chi Charlie Nguyen, a Republican running for change because he said Kirk “shows the values ​​that make Westminster special: Pride in our country, belief in our freedom.”

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and one of the influential figures of the Purcy Party, was shot dead by a sniper at Utah Valley University in September.
