CBS Reporter SPARS with Karoline Leavett over eastern war demolition: ‘Can the president dismantle anything he wants?’

CBS reporter Weijia Jiang got into a sparring match with White House Press Paress Karoline Leavett on Thursday President Donald Trump removed the White House Wing to build the White House’s Wing to build the White House’s Wing to build the White House

Back and forth happened during a media briefing where Jiang was asked if Trump was going through the proper building blocks.

“The White House explained that you did not bring construction plans to the NCPC (National Planning Commission) because the Commission, and construction only, and so far you have not done anything,” said Jiang.

“Can you help us understand? Can the President tear down anything he wants without looking, can he tear down this building or say, the Jefferson Memorial?” Jiang asked.

Leaveitt Beck Back saying, that it is not Trump’s legal opinion, but the NCPC.

“It’s a legal opinion held by the NCPC for many years,” Beavett said. “They have ruled consistently, their general discipline says when it comes to the first phase of this project, the current building of the East Wing, the purchase is not legally required for that – it is only a direct opinion from them. We follow that official opinion.”

Leavift went on to say that many other Presidents have renovated the White House in the past, including the press room they are standing in.

“There have been many presidents in the past who have made their mark in this beautiful part of the complex. This bedroom … wasn’t exactly a swimming pool, it was a swimming pool.” Beavift said. “There have been presidents who have completely dismantled the impeachment.”

This is where Jiang jumped in.

“So, it sounds like the answer is, ‘Yes, he can tear down whatever he wants,'” he said.

But he stopped short, saying: “It doesn’t mean what we say. That’s a legal opinion that has been held for many years.”

Leavit then released photographic examples of all the times the White House had undergone a makeover, pointing to the construction of both the West Wing and the West Terrace in 1902.

“I’m asking about the layoffs – the layoffs,” Jiang added, trying to infer that he was referring to the changes made in the White House. Leavift continued to document the construction.

“Can he knock down anything he wants?” Jiang is under pressure.

“Look at that ruble,” said Beavett. “How did that garbage happen?”

Jiang was one of the few who doubted leavett about the demolition. ABC’s Mary Bruce also threw the Press Secretary for answers.

“The President initially said that this project would not interfere with, or affect the current building,” said Bruce. “Now you say that you are doing this right, you saw that the east wing had to be demolished. This is a people’s house. Why didn’t you know that the east wing was going to be demolished?”

Demolition photos from Thursday showed the East Wing now reduced to rubble. In addition, the photos taken seem to show that only the eastern wings have been removed but the deconstronstroction has been extended to the East ColonneAde, which is where the White House Phemberkukazi Movie Home is quickly protected from scanning. The cost of the ballroom so far is $ 300 million, with some money contributed by donors such as Google, Apple and Amazon.
