Netflix is exploring Benedict’s romance with newcomer Sophie in season 4 — but who makes the team. Bridgerton stream between screen output?
Over the years, Netflix fans have settled in to watch various love stories connected to the fictional Bridgerton family. Based on Julia QuinnBook series, season 1 of the hot time drama that started in 2020 with Daphne (Phoebe Dynevorand Simon (Regé-Jean page) as the main focus of the show. Bridgerton highlighted Anthony’s (Jonathan Bailey) a love story with Kate (Simon Ashley) two years later.
Before Bridgerton returned in 2024 with Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) as a focus, Netflix expanded the universe with a prequel series Queen Charlottewhich premiered one year earlier. Now, viewers are on the edge of their seats waiting for season 4, which will explore Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) dating Sophie (Yerin Ha).
Netflix previously confirmed that the show will return for seasons 5 and 6. It remains to be seen who will be the focus of the next installments – but according to Quinn, that has already been decided.

Benedict’s personal life – and the ups and downs – were explored in previous seasons of the show, but now he’s taking center stage.
Playing opposite Thompson, Ha is a maid named Sophie who is also the mysterious woman Benedict meets at the ball.
“What drew me to Sophie is that she has an immediate dilemma — something she has to overcome all the time,” Ha told Netflix’s Tudum in October 2024. “Whether it’s a battle about social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”
In this retelling of Cinderella, Leung’s Lady Araminta Gun fits into the bad stepmother stereotype.
“Araminta and Rosamund are so focused on their goals that, frankly, the Bridgertons don’t register as much at first, except that Benedict doesn’t seem to be catching on this season,” the runner. Jess Brownell Thundu laughed.
Mao’s character, Rosamund Li, has been described as “her mother’s mini-me – a mart pro chess player.”
Wei, on the other hand, plays the role of Posy Li, “dreamy and often careless, which can be the opposite of her mother.”

The same goes for Anthony’s wife, Kate (Ashley), an actress who reprises her fan-favorite role after being off-screen a lot in season 3.

After being the focus of season 3, Colin is back as a husband – and father.

Speaking of the next lead, Dodd’s Francesca is also a possibility.
