Boston Blue’s Mika Amonsen Addresses Sean Reagan Backlash After Rebound

Boston BlueMika Amonen saw Sean Reagan Backlash after being thrown into Blue blood spinoff in place of Andrew Terraciano.

“I definitely felt the influence of pressure in the beginning. I felt pressure to respect the actor before me because I want to respect Andrew the best,” Amonsen recalled. “There were some visual choices I made to keep in terms of hairstyles and certain ways of being [as Sean].

Amonsen wanted to pay tribute to Terraciano who was taken by the character.

“I really want to preserve Sean as closely as possible in the ways that I can because of this character that everyone loves – but also the character that he created,” he continued. “When I booked the show, it all happened so fast. It was within a week and I was being cast in her age at the same time. I really wanted to get a sense of being her character at that point in her life.”

After updating the key patches of the Boston BlueAmonen found ways to celebrate Terraciano’s performance.

“I wanted to respect Andrew’s portrayal of Sean as much as possible — but also add something to my version. Brabon Margolis was great in giving me a lot of freedom to explore that Donnie,” he shared. “Watching Andrew’s performance, I actually saw a lot of similarities between us as people, and our strengths. I was definitely responsible for my change.”
