Boston Blue EP Reveals Andrew Terraciano Cameo After Recast

Boston Blue repeat Andrew Terraciano like Sean, but it’s possible Blue Blood alum yet to appear in the future?

During a special interview with Us WeeklyTerraciano, 22, weighed in on a possible return Mika Amonsen currently playing Donnie Wahlbergson of the screen, saying, “I told Donnie on the phone. If he says the name, I’ll be there. Not just about Blue Bloods or Boston Blue, but about anything in life.”

A great producer Brandon Margolis opened up the possibility of involving Terraciano in the spinoff — perhaps in a role that nods to him Blue Blood origin.

“I love that idea. It’s really smart and I think it’s something Donnie might be into,” teased Us. “Because he’s always trying to work in New Kids on the Block references.”

He continued: “I’m sure Donnie would open up, but I think that’s a very smart idea.

Terraciano started on CBS’ Blue Bloodappearing in nearly 300 episodes from 2010 to 2024. His role as Sean allowed him to share the screen with my brother. Tony Terracianowho played Donnie’s oldest son, Jack Reagan. Despite the beloved presence at the Reagan dinner table, the Blue Blood spinoff, Boston Bluepremiered in October and Amonsen now plays Sean.

“I felt pressure at first. I felt pressure to honor the actor before me because I wanted to honor Andrew as much as I could,” Amonsen recalled. “There were also some visual decisions I made that I wanted to keep about how to do hair and certain ways of being [as Sean].”

Amonsen wanted to pay tribute to Terraciano’s take on the character.

“I really want to keep Sean as close as possible in the ways that I do it out of respect for this character that everyone loves – but also the character that Andrew wasn’t built for,” he continued. “When I booked the show, it all happened so fast. It wasn’t even a week and I was immediately thrown into it. I indulged as much as I could and I found that doing the later seasons was very helpful. I wanted to hear who Sean was at the end of the show. I really wanted to hear his character at that point in his adulthood and his relationship with Danny.”

After rewatching episodes of Boston BlueAmonsen found ways to honor Terraciano.

“I wanted to respect Andrew’s portrayal of Sean as best I could – but also add something to my version. “Watching Andrew play, I actually saw a lot of similarities between us as people, and our strengths. It’s really exciting. I have a lot of energy for fun myself. So that was comforting to me. I kept that to myself and I didn’t feel obligated to change that part of me — which was good — about making it my own.”

Amonsen concluded: “We’re actually just exploring what could have been. Yes, it’s my version of it but at the same time we’ve never seen this relationship with Sean and his father before. He’s coming into this new position because from what I understand, exploring Sean being a police officer was not something that was on the table.”

Terraciano, on the other hand, expressed gratitude for his time Blue Blood.

“It’s good because you’ll always remember every single line and every day you had a chance to be that character,” he shared. Us earlier this month. “It doesn’t mean for a second that someone else can’t go and do something good with it.”

Terraciano praised the CBS show, adding, “I got the joy of playing Sean, and I got to send him out into the world. Now someone else gets that joy. We both get to show what we do and send Sean out into the world.”
